STING 🍃

A social commentary short film that follows four siblings as they combat each other and themselves in the aftermath of a micro-aggression. Is there a ‘right’ way to process pain?

“Sting was written in response to recognising the ways we can regurgitate mistreatment back into our own communities. Transferring pain onto people who didn’t cause it.
It seems that most of us are comfortable talking about all the ways life has made us a victim, but less of us are willing to take accountability when we are the ones who have hurt someone.
This is the first film that I have written and produced. After having years of experience performing in stories that other people created, I wanted to stop shying away from my own creative voice and world view.
Sting is not intended to be a lesson for the audience; it is intended to host conversations of our shared human experiences.” - Luanda
