Business Lunch is back in a huge way.

We're joined today by psychedelic media icon Shelby Hartman - to discuss the deranged goings on in 2026 Psychedelic Capitalism™. Our discussions include: the sale of ATAI Beckley, the American right's embrace of psychedelics, and whether or not it's safe to drink water from a stream in Topanga Canyon.

Well, our Summer of Schneef is finally coming to a close. We present to you: One Last Line. An attempt to sum up roughly the past hundred years of cocaine in the culture (sans everything we covered so far). Plus - an exciting update on our mission to smoke K2 in St Barthes on Cheth's dad's yacht. It's a good news bad news situation there, but an exciting update nonetheless!

Thank you so much for listening to the Cocaine Series. We'll be back before you know it - assuming we ever make it back to land.

If you've ever wondered what EXACTLY happened with the CIA and crack cocaine in the early 80s - this episode is for you.

On the 30 year anniversary of Gary Webb's original Dark Alliance series, it's our great honor to bring you this torrid tale of cocaine smuggling, CIA malfeasance, and the devastating effect it had on black communities nationwide.

Strap the hell in for the first ever FLINTA Trip Reporter in the cocaine cannon. We're checking in with Annie C. Meyers and reading selections from her memoir Eight Years in Cocaine Hell.

Later in the episode we discuss one of many extremely racist articles in our country's paper of record: the New York Times.

After months of us BEGGING to get him in the studio, our #1 boy finally stops by. The big dog is in the house - and he DIDN'T just come to try to shill for Decentraland.

We discuss some of the first people who would become known as "Cocaine Fiends" in the late 1800s; and one of the druggists who made a killing off them.

Lock in, listeners: it's Part 1 of the Cocaine series!

We discuss the origins of everyone's favorite nose candy: including a llama fertility ritual, funky 1600s verse poetry, and absolute fiend Paolo Mantegazza (iykyk).

We’re back with another high stakes Business Lunch, with the iconic and illustrious Michelle Lhooq.

Michelle is a journalist, an honest to god Thought Leader in the drug/nightlife reporting space, and a longtime inspiration for us here at The Trip Report Report. We could not be more excited to be sitting down with her for a VERY light meal, as we get busy talking about the matriarch of psychedelic giant Atai Beckley, and the alleged benefits of drilling a hole in your own head.

Pro tip, always bring a second drill!

Massive thanks to Michelle for joining us on this one, and a big thanks to the staff at Horses (or was it Whore Says?) for reopening one-afternoon-only so we could record this very special episode onsite.

I’m beaming with pride and joy as I look at this cover, and think about all the hard work that led to bringing @thetripreportreport into the world.

The show, which explores drug history and culture through the lens of first person experience reports, was born out of my dear friend and Co-host Kai’s desire to listen to such a podcast. Tried though they did, they couldn’t find one and had the inspired idea to make it ourselves.

If your interest is peaked, I implore you to check out the show on your app of choice, and if you want it to succeed please subscribe and review so we can do more of this work we so deeply enjoy <3

Kai and I have been making our own fun for a long time, but this began a new chapter for us as Content Creators, a term I both abhor and now embrace.

Kai is among the most caring and capable people I’ve ever met. Watching them set their mind to something and make it happen over and over through out our relationship has been a gift, and often pushed me to do the same.

Through their keen eye for after hours I’ve gotten to know my own city in a new way these last 5 years, and grown proud of the freaks and weird0s working hard to make magic happen from 10-4 almost every night.

Since we’ve met I’ve had a tendency to prioritize caring for those other than myself, which feels good until I reach a point of internal depletion, and don’t have any juice left to chase my own dreams. Without Kai reminding me that I deserve some of my own care too, it would have taken me a lot longer to believe it, and thus be here today sharing such a big step.

I’m endlessly grateful for their friendship, their support, and our shared obsession for the myriad of scenes that make up counterculture, without which this show, this studio, and this embodied version of myself would not be possible.

This is only the beginning, and I have no doubt there is much more to come 💫
