Inside a small church in Tuscany, music becomes something close to prayer.
A microphone, a statue, a feather, a body waiting in silence before the sound begins.

Festival of the Sun seems to move between concert and ritual, between sacred space and contemporary performance. The village becomes a stage, but never in a conventional way. Everything feels close, fragile, and unrepeatable.

@hatis_noit transformed their voice into ritual, layering breath, texture, and sound into something deeply physical and spiritual. Everybody was in AWE!

@joepbeving approaches the piano through silence, resonance, creating meditative atmosphere.

At Festival of the Sun, Tuscany becomes more than a backdrop.
It becomes a meeting point between people, music, landscape, and intuition.

Rick Rubin’s relationship with this place seems to carry the same spirit as his work: listening, slowing down, creating the conditions for something unexpected to happen. Through Jovanotti, Tuscany entered his creative orbit not as a postcard, but as a living place.

These images hold that atmosphere: artists not separated from the crowd, but absorbed into the same light.

Rick Rubin and Jovanotti at Festival of the Sun, in Tuscany.
Two artists from different worlds meeting in the same landscape: California and Italy, meditation and rhythm, silence and celebration.

The festival feels less like a traditional event and more like a ritual around music, friendship, and the summer light. Jovanotti helped bring Rubin closer to Tuscany, a place that eventually became part of Rick’s life and creative imagination.

A moment where music is not only performed, but shared as a way of belonging.

Road trip in #Cali.
Water carries its own memory.

What is this an adv?
I love the clash between human artifact and nature.

Different continents, different languages, but the same understanding: where there is water, there is life.

The mountains make us look upward.
The water asks us to look inward.
We are guided by water. 🌧️🏔️💧

Magnificent mountains 🏔️
From the valleys and high peaks of Ecuador to the white summits of Northern Italy, the mountains have watched over generations of my family. They connect different lands, cultures, and memories, reminding me that ancestry is not limited by borders. It lives in the landscapes that shape us, in the strength we inherit, and in the pride we carry forward.

Standing beneath the Eastern Sierra, I feel that same ancestral connection. These immense rocks and peaks have an incredible power to fill us with awe. Perhaps it happens because the mind cannot easily contain their scale, age, and silence. For a moment, the ego becomes smaller, time feels deeper, and we sense that we belong to something far greater than ourselves.

I often wonder what the Indigenous peoples who have known and cared for this land across generations felt while standing before these formations—what stories, teachings, memories, and sacred meanings they carried. Their experiences cannot be reduced to a single feeling, but the landscape invites us to approach it with humility, respect, and wonder.

From the Andes to the Alps, and now beneath the Sierra sky, the mountains continue to remind me who I am: rooted in many lands, connected through family history, and proud to be Latino Alpino. 🏔️🇪🇨🇮🇹

Mono Lake is glowing. The vastness of the skies of California’s Eastern Sierra.
A place that feels wild, timeless, and beautifully untouched. 🏔️☁️

Northern California is not what you expect. The weather changes its mind quickly. A place that feels open, wild, and definitely not predictable. taken in Death Valley National Park by @lucapponi_real
