[000-6] one piece darted jacket w/no seam allowance sleevehead one piece, no cutaway dress ostrich slap sole shoes -All garments within this collection, from the fabric to the thread are made from 100% natural, non synthetic materials. It’s my hope given enough time they will degrade to nothing. A blurring of lines between seams exhibit our lost but embedded memories both personal and worldly, a recollection without clear lines. -All shoes are hand sewn and carved by myself without use of any machinery using varying construction methods (hand welted and norwegian) They all feature a technique known as ‘skin stitching’ where the seams are butted against eachother without allowance and stitched through the center of the leather. some (definitely far from all) of the process for the first pair of shoes I made for my graduate collection These boots are 100% hand sewn and welted without machinery. Made using Vachetta leather. The entire upper is sewn ‘skin stitched’ Handmade shoemaking is an endangered craft and it’s been an amazing journey learning to make them from scratch. I started on and off a couple years ago after discovering my family owned their own shoe store after immigrating to London (as pictured on final slide - Levitt). I’m excited to continue to honour their legacy. Special thank you to @paulbdnshoemaker and @sebastiantarek for your guidance by @lucareuben
