💚 Welcome @norbu.norgay to Lucen Locals

To celebrate the release of TENZING on Apple TV, we spoke with Norbu Norgay, photographer, athlete and creative storyteller. As the grandson of legendary Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay, Norbu carries his grandfather’s legacy into a new generation while forging his own path through sport, storytelling and creative expression.

With roots in the Himalayas and now based in New York City, Norbu’s work captures movement, culture and the subtle moments that make up everyday life. Through photography, content creation and athletics, he crafts visual narratives that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant.

As part of Lucen Locals, Norbu shares a little insight into his local life, from the rituals that shape his days to the places and moments that keep him inspired 🤍 by @lucen.world

EVENT008🌍 DOG WALK 🐶

18th October 2026 11:30

Meet at Ashurst Train Station SO40 7AA (there is a 1 hour 30 min/ 1 change route from Waterloo to anyone who’d like to join from London!)

Lucen World invites you to join for a big old dog walk! Whether you have a dog or are simply craving some doggy cuddles… we’ll be heading out for the Ashurst stroll, walking come rain or shine 🌞☔️

Ashurst has long been shaped by its relationship with the New Forest, with the village’s name meaning “ash wooded hill” and records dating back to at least 1314, when the area was already associated with the timber trade. The surrounding Forest has traditionally been used for common grazing, with ponies and livestock still roaming the open lawns today. The route passes through Churchplace Inclosure, a woodland established in 1810, before continuing through ancient pasture woodland and Ashurst Wood. Along the way, the remains of a 16th-century saltpetre house offer a glimpse into the Forest’s industrial past, when timber was used in the production of saltpetre, a key ingredient in gunpowder.

All ages and genders welcome. Come alone or with a friend - dogs not essential! 🤍🤎💚

No booking necessary, just arrive promptly!
