@evanscottmonroe SS27, Pastimes.

Workwear after work. Familiar American silhouettes, transformed through natural dyeing, sumi ink and hand painted details.

The kind of craftsmanship you might not catch in a photo, but completely changes the way you see the clothes.

@k.ang_official works with copper power dye for his new SS27 collection: Deep Void and Glow.

The collection explores the idea of a small trace of light inside something dark, unknown, or uncontrollable. One of the key pieces is the copper dyed jacket, with a colour that moves between pale green, dirty brown, and a subtle brightness.

Across the collection, K’ANG continues his focus on fabric development through copper dyeing, irregular hand dyeing, digital prints, and dyed pieces that are sanded afterwards to create more contrast in the surface.

It’s great to see refreshment every single season we pass by.

@janjanvanessche SS27: DEW

For Spring Summer 2027, Jan Jan Van Essche presents DEW, a collection that builds on his own quiet universe of movement, craftsmanship and cultural references.

The palette is more muted this season, with grey, ash, light denim and soft natural tones giving the collection a lighter and calmer feeling. Within that, the blue pieces stand out. The colour comes from his continued work with Japanese dyeing traditions, including aizome, where indigo is overdyed with sumi ink to create a deeper and more irregular tone.

What makes Jan-Jan interesting to us, is the way different references are brought together without feeling forced. A kimono like jacket with wider sleeves is finished with the lapel language of Western tailoring. Soft structured blazers sit next to handwoven ponchos, while denim, mesh and natural fibres create a layered but easy silhouette.

Van Essche has always worked outside of obvious trend cycles, and this collection shows that again. Some shapes return from earlier seasons, but the materials, softer styling and lighter palette give the collection a renewed feeling. It is calm, precise and very much Jan-Jan.

For months, we have been saying that the worlds of fashion and performance running are moving closer together. @rickowensonline just made that point impossible to ignore.

At his Spring Summer 2027 show in Paris, Owens reunited with adidas after nearly a decade and brought performance technology back into his own dark, sculptural universe. Among the most striking details on the runway was Rick Owens his take on the Adizero Adios Pro Prime x EVO.

Adidas has spent the past year pushing running footwear to world records breaking projects like the Adizero Pro EVO 3 where Sabastian Sawe broke sub 2 on the marathon and the Prime X Evo, the 50 mm stack super shoe developed for Chasing 100, where Sibusiso Kubheka became the first athlete to run 100 km in under six hours.

Owens takes that Prime X Evo in his own language and moves it into fashion.

This is another sign that running is becoming a cultural language, and fashion can’t ignore it.

A better look at the new collab by @rickowensonline and @adidasoriginals.

The collaboration that changed the fashion game 10 years ago is back, but with a subtle start. We don’t really understand the hype behind the blades.

It’s the second time they release blades in the Rick Owen’s x Adidas saga, while it seems like it’s not a very demanding model from adidas, it keeps returning in Rick his collections. Can anyone tell us?

Short weekend in Antwerp for some intro meetings for @runnershighapp and Antwerp Fashion Festival.

Main highlight was visiting good friend and my favourite designer @JanJanvanEssche, as he released a new zine, new art space and short film all together.

Celebrated in typical Jan-Jan style with a concert that gets you out of your current state of mind and brings you back to the soil of what’s meaningful.

Jan-Jan van Essche brings something not many can in fashion and branding, it’s deeper than clothes, it’s a universe. It’s the care for craftsmanship, respect for its maker, nature, culture and freedom that you need to understand before buying or wearing. The zine and short film which were recorded in Japan showcased this philosophy in its purest, most unrefined form. by @lucentement

A closer look at @constructionlayers and the details you might miss at first glance.

For Framework, Kendrick and CP continue to build their language through hand stitched surfaces, reversible constructions, natural fibers and subtle material choices that only reveal themselves up close.

One of the strongest examples is the striped suit. What appears to be a striped fabric is actually constructed by hand, with each strip cut separately and stitched onto the base textile before the garment is assembled.

The designers also work with natural dye research, where each fabric reacts differently to color, creating quiet shifts in tone, texture and surface. Alongside linen, ramie and cotton blends, they are also exploring regional natural fibers such as pineapple fiber, with the intention of introducing them in future collections.

A collection built through patience, tactility and garments made to change with time. Read the full article now on LUCENTEMENT.

The @on Lightspray Cloudmonster hyper 3, a category creating shoe if you ask me, bridging performance with fashion.

This is the performance sneaker you will see under fashionable people that don’t run, and under performance runners that take fashion seriously. Essentially the first in its category, I find it interesting.

High fashion has already pivoted from classical footwear into sneakers. With the rising running boom, will we see another pivot from sneakers to performance sneaker?

Essentially just one shoe for everything? This one certainly has it. What are your thoughts?

Back in 2017, @maisonmargiela introduced the Plexi Clogs for Spring/Summer 2017 under the creative direction of John Galliano.

The design features a perforated leather upper, a transparent plexi-style platform, a PVC heel and a rubber slingback strap.

Its most distinctive detail is the clear base. From the side, the upper almost appears to float above the ground, giving the clog a strangely futuristic appearance.
