THE GROOM’S SIDE

The wedding day was not only about the moment he finally stood beside the woman he chose to spend his life with. There was also this side of the day the time he spent with his best men, the friends who kept the room light, the conversations that happened while getting ready, and all the little interactions that would probably never make it into the official schedule. But those are the moments that make a wedding feel real. Watching him with the people closest to him gave a different perspective on the day a groom who was excited, a little nervous, occasionally distracted by his friends, and simply enjoying the people who had been part of his life before this new chapter began.

These photographs are a way of remembering that side of him too. Before he became her husband, he was someone’s best friend, someone’s brother, and a boy who had grown up surrounded by people who believed in him.

Jessen & Agnes.

Some stories take years to unfold,
only to lead us exactly where we belong.

And somehow, through it all,
they kept finding their way back to each other.
