Did you know that Sensory balls are important because they are powerful, multi-functional tools that support development, emotional regulation, and concentration across all age groups, especially for individuals with specific sensory needs.

Neurotypical means a person whose brain development and way of thinking, learning, communicating, and processing information are generally within what is considered typical.

Neurodivergent means a person whose brain processes information, learns, communicates, or experiences the world differently from what is considered typical.

Examples of neurodivergence:
Autism
ADHD
Dyslexia
Tourette syndrome

👉 Easy way to remember:
Neurotypical = typical brain processing
Neurodivergent = different brain processing
Being neurodivergent does not mean a person is less intelligent or less capable.

Missing Child.
Sadly, Noah Woods has NOT yet been found. The search is still ongoing and has entered its second day.

Noah is 3 years old, autistic, non-verbal and has partial hearing loss.
He disappeared at about 3:00 pm on Tuesday, 15 September, near Merriam Close playground in Brantham, Suffolk.
Police released CCTV footage showing Noah shortly before he disappeared. They believe he ran down an alleyway towards a nearby new-build housing estate.

Reports says up to around 1,000 people have joined the search.
Police, search-and-rescue teams, firefighters, coastguard helicopters, specialist dogs and other emergency services are involved.
Decoy Pond and surrounding areas are being searched, including by specialist teams.

Police are asking residents to check gardens, sheds, outbuildings and CCTV/doorbell footage, and drivers to check dashcam footage.

If anyone sees Noah, police are asking them to call 999 immediately and quote CAD 203 of 15 September rather than approaching him directly.

💔 Your Child May Be Communicating in a Way You Don’t Understand Yet.

Imagine being in pain but not having the words to say, “My tummy hurts.”
Imagine needing help but only being able to cry, scream, drop to the floor, hurt yourself, or engage in behaviours others may find difficult to understand.

For some autistic children, behaviours such as self-injury, poop smearing, severe distress, refusal, or sudden changes in behaviour may be their way of communicating an unmet need. Sometimes there may be a medical issue such as constipation or stomach discomfort; sometimes the child may be overwhelmed, seeking sensory input, avoiding something difficult, or simply unable to communicate what they need.

That is why we must look beyond the behaviour. ❤️
Instead of asking only, “How do I stop this behaviour?

Let’s also ask:
“What is my child trying to tell me?”
“What need is not being met?”
“How can I teach them a safer way to communicate?”
Your child is not being “naughty.”
Your child is not deliberately trying to frustrate you.
And you do not have to simply be told to “live with it.”
They deserve to be listened to.
They deserve appropriate medical care when needed.
They deserve understanding, patience, communication support, and individualized intervention.

And parents you deserve support too. 🤍
There may not be one solution that works for every autistic child, but there is always a reason worth understanding and a better way worth searching for.

Keep asking questions. Keep learning. Keep advocating. Keep looking for the “why” behind the behaviour.
Because sometimes, behind a behaviour that looks difficult, there is a child simply saying:
“Please understand me.” ❤️

Meet Daniel, an 8-year-old autistic boy who found transitions very difficult. Whenever it was time to stop playing and begin learning, he would drop to the floor and cry.

Instead of seeing his behaviour as “bad,” his Behaviour Technician tried to understand what Daniel was communicating.

They introduced a simple visual schedule: “Play → Learn → Break.” They used gentle prompts, gave Daniel time to process instructions, and praised him whenever he made even a small effort to transition.
At first, Daniel still cried.

But gradually, something changed.
One day, when the picture for “Learn” appeared, Daniel stood up by himself and walked to his chair.

It lasted only a few seconds.
But to his therapist, it was a BIG victory.
That is one of the beautiful things about Applied Behaviour Analysis: we don't only look at the behaviour we look for the reason behind it, teach meaningful skills, and celebrate progress, one small step at a time.

QABA professionals and behaviour technicians are not trying to change who an autistic child is. We support them in learning skills that can help them communicate, participate, connect, and become more independent.
See the child, understand the behaviour, teach with compassion, and celebrate every victory.
Sometimes, what looks like a little step to the world is a giant step for a child. ❤️

🚨 WAIT… HAVE YOU EVER SEEN SOMEONE POOP THROUGH THEIR TUMMY? 😳
It may sound surprising, but yes it is possible, and there is a medical reason behind it.

It is called a COLOSTOMY. 🩺
A colostomy is a surgical procedure where an opening is created on the abdomen so that waste can leave the body through a stoma into a special bag, instead of passing through the anus.

But here’s the part many people don’t know… 👀
How does it happen? Why do some people need it? And can someone live a normal life with a colostomy?

🎥 Watch my video to the end as I explain it in a simple way.
You might learn something today that you never knew before. ❤️
👇 Have you ever seen or heard about a colostomy before? Tell me in the comments.

As of 2026, the scientific evidence shows that autism does not have one single cause. The strongest understanding is that autism is a neurodevelopmental condition resulting from a complex interaction of genetic and biological factors, with some prenatal/perinatal environmental factors influencing likelihood in some children. Researchers are still studying exactly how these factors interact.

What does NOT cause autism?
Vaccines do not cause autism. This is one of the best studied questions in autism research. In December 2025, the WHO's Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety reviewed evidence from 2010, 2025 and reaffirmed that vaccines, including those containing thiomersal or aluminium, do not cause autism.

Last year Facebookers was so concern and ask why Fewa is always with a fidget.

This is a Pop It fidget, is a type of sensory toy designed to provide tactile stimulation and stress relief. It's usually a silicone based toy with bubble like protrusions that can be pressed or "popped" to create a satisfying sound and sensation and comes in different shapes.

Pop often come in various shapes, colors, and sizes, and can be used to help individuals with anxiety, Autism, ADHD, or those who simply need a calming outlet. They're popular among both kids and adults as a discreet and portable fidget toy.

Have you tried using a Pop fidget before?
It is really worth it.
