As parents, it is so easy to fall into the trap of the "Substitute." We work hard, we provide, we manage the schedules, and we tell ourselves that is how we show love. But kids don't care about your job title, your logistics, or the things you buy them to make up for your absence.

Kids spell love T-I-M-E.

You can be sitting on the same couch as your family but be completely absent because your mind is locked in your phone or stressed about work. Today, we are throwing out the substitutes. We are replacing it with Ephesians 5:15—making the best use of the time God has given us.
Jesus proved His love by stepping into our world and spending time with us. Let's do the same for our kids today.

Stop trying to pull the weight of your life all by yourself.
Culture tells us to escape, numb out, or just grind harder when we feel overwhelmed. But Jesus offers something completely different: a shared yoke (Zygos). He doesn't take away your earthly responsibilities; He steps into them with you. He is the Stronger Ox carrying the actual heavy load. You just have to walk with Him.

Taking the trash out of my life and replacing it with Scripture and commitment to change.
