I was so stoked to do this tidal pool collection. It took me back to my five years that I lived on the west coast in Victoria.
I love highlighting the small natural beauties of this world. There is so much trying to push us down and have us be afraid, yet the minute you enter the natural world we are reminded that it all flows in cycles.
We are born, we grow, we age, we return. Impermanence has been the message that I personally have been receiving in the last year. It is difficult to accept, to let go of what and who you love, but it all must return.

This tattoo was part of a donation for @palscalgary gala auction. I want to thank the organizers and volunteers of Pals. Thank you for your contributions to the community and the interest so many of you have had with my tattoos 🧡

Morning glory vine

Healed tattoos on Sadie. We compositionally matched what was on their other arm. Sadie is a funeral director and we have included their personal embalming tools, a mouth palate, and a climbing vine. Love the spooky science behind their brain. Thank you Sadie!

It was last year that I truly saw the geese. My house was in the path of the migration and they flew so low, in such large numbers, the warm sky highlighting their path.

We are surrounded in this incredible world. Please recall, the patience and perseverance that nature delivers. We may be an alien anomaly to the ecosystem, but a part of us does derive from the cold soil.

The Canadian Geese migration summarizes summer, pulling us into Autumn.
Thank you Mckaylea, for doing two back to back days of tattoos. The bison and ferns taking about 5 hours and the geese flying on the forearm tattoo being about 2.5 hr.

Excited to continue this nature sleeve, drawing these powerful symbols and guides.

Thank you Mckaylea for trusting me with such potent and important tattoos.

A friendly reminder that tattoos are permanent while you are here upon this Earth. It is worth travelling to the right artist for each piece 🧡

Looking for people who suit this vibe. Nature themed black and grey tattoos. You crave the forest, the oceans, the swamp, the creeks. Searching for critters, insects and snails. Birdwatching. I am seeking witches and goblins to decorate. Those who love animals and plants and all the gorgeous flowers.

I am Samantha Wey a tattoo artist based out of Calgary Alberta. I love the people I work with and the pieces we create for them ❤️
