I guess what I’m trying to say is that I love Red Dead Redemption 2. And that I’ll never stop making pottery about video games. 🎮

A mug inspired by Arthur Morgan’s journal. Text is carved & inlaid (mishima my dear friend!) and sketch was done with a ceramic crayon. 🖍️

Saturday, y’all! Come down to @tigerlilygoods from 12-4pm to support a ton of makers and small businesses! I’ll have these pieces and a bunch more (including some new planters fresh out of the kiln).

We are excited to be collaborating with our community in celebration of Ginkgo Tree Tattoo’s 3 year anniversary fundraising event in support of @plannedparenthood @pprockymountains

⚡️Today’s vendor highlight is: @lucienneceramics

Lucienne Druckman is the artist behind Lucienne Ceramics. Based in Denver, Lucienne has had a life-long obsession with clay and collected pottery long before she took her first ceramics course in 2022. A self-proclaimed science fiction nerd, her work seeks to juxtapose traditional ceramic techniques with futuristic themes and forms. Working almost exclusively in porcelain, she crafts functional pieces she imagines you might see in your favorite sci-fi scenes. Her work has been featured in exhibitions at the Art Students League of Denver, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, and the University of Southern Mississippi.

🚨 Come on over on Saturday November 15th from 11-6, get tattooed and show our vendors some love (consensually) !

One day, I’ll actually make a reel. Today is not that day. 🫶 But! Some fresh cyberware beauties are out of the kiln and up in the shop! I’ve been playing with some new glazes and new designs, and I love how these came out.

I’m truly awful at documenting any sort of process, but I’ve got a batch of these cyberware pieces in the works! Even before being glazed and fired, I enjoy how crisp they look after being carved. 👌

Hoping to have them all finished in about 2 weeks. I carve each one by hand, after which they’re glazed in a transparent glaze to pick up the carved texture. The last step is hand painting the gold luster and firing them for a third and final time. These are my favorite things I’ve ever made, and I’m loving refining the designs and playing with new glaze colors!

A new batch of cyberware pottery! I’m having a blast making these, and can’t wait to get started on the next round. Some of these have already sold, but the rest are up on my Etsy (along with various other things I’ve been working on recently!).

I’ve made a LOT of pottery inspired by science fiction, technology, and futuristic themes, but I have to admit I’m a sucker for a medieval aesthetic. Maybe it’s because so much media in the fantasy genre is medieval-coded. Maybe it’s the fact that I have a history degree. Maybe it’s the monumental number of hours I’ve spent playing a medieval RPG recently. Regardless, these tankards have been an incredibly fun challenge to undertake! Working outside of my normal style gave me a lot of problems to solve with texture and surface decoration, and I’ve learned SO much making them. Now that I finally have 4 of them finished that I’m super happy with, I’m ready to make more... 🍻🏰🐉

✨💥Cyberpunk💥✨

I have always loved a dystopia, and some true masterpieces of science fiction have been in the cyberpunk sub-genre. Blade Runner? Snow Crash? Neuromancer? And of course, Cyberpunk 2077. Technology grows ever more intertwined in our everyday lives and the idea of cybernetic implants doesn’t feel all that far off. I have so enjoyed reimagining this with pottery, and I’m excited to see where this idea takes me next!

Also, I love to stack things.

Planterssssssss. 🌱🌿🌵🪴 I’ve been loving making these recently, AND they’ve been getting snatched up! It always feels the best when I feel like I’m truly connecting with what I’m making, and as a plant-and-gardening-obsessed person, these totally scratch that itch.

When I’m not making pottery, I’m often gaming, and Kingdom Come Deliverance II has consumed my WHOLE ENTIRE BEING. It is probably the best game I’ve ever played, and I’d LOVE to be able to get an ale at the tavern with Henry and Hans. 🍻🧡 This form is inspired by the tankards in the first game, and I suppose it’s my little version of fan art! More to come on these…

…but also, WOULD you meet me for an ale?!

Just some delicious drips on this commission I completed and sent off recently. 💧💦 And, it actually pours really nicely, too! 😅 (…and, no, I will never not be in love with this glaze combination.)
