Drunken Noodles - 2025
After this Death - 2025
End of the Century- 2019

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m excited to share that Drunken Noodles will have its American (continent-wide!) premiere at the New York Film Festival in the Currents section. Over the past two decades, I’ve discovered countless films and directors at this festival, which have profoundly influenced my own work. It’s truly an honor to have my film featured there.

I particularly love the “Currents” section, once known as “Views from the Avant-Garde.” Although the term “avant-garde” has taken quite a beating over the years, I still love Jonas Mekas’ definition of an avant-garde film from 1970:

“An Avant-garde film is always like the first page of a book, and the Academic film is like the last page of a book: one leaves you hanging in time, the other shelves you in time.”

Hope Drunken Noodles leaves you hanging in time!

See you at the premiere! 🍜🫨💛 taken in Lincoln Center by @lucio_castro
