Dad and Luckie’s favorite thing to do together was mow the lawn! Today Dad cut a heart with an “L” in the middle of it for Luckie 💚 by @luckiedeer

UPDATE BEFORE READING: THIS WAS A FALSE ALARM AND LUCKIE IS OKAY!!

It comes with a heavy heart to inform you all that Luckie has passed away. She was hit by a vehicle on Inverness Parkway sometime Sunday 8/3 afternoon or evening. She was about to give birth to her seventh fawn. I noticed a deer on the side of Inverness Parkway, turned around for a closer look and couldn’t get the courage to get out and check if it was actually her. But I have not seen her in several days. She battled a lot of issues over the years including many attempted coyote attacks and a stubborn buck that wouldn’t take no for an answer - he got what was coming to him last winter.

On those cold nights on the front porch laying on her heated blanket she would watch over the house for us. She honestly was the best watch deer anyone could ask for as she was quick to move if something was quite right. She made many friends with delivery drivers over the years for sure.

Most of all she was best friends with our labs, Stella and Lacey.
She will be missed by many and my heart hurts at this loss.

Rest in Peace my sweet girl
8/31/19 - 8/3/25

She leaves behind: Pickle, Stroker, Ace, Charm, Chance and August
