24 hours solo in Venice Beach, CA.
Long story short—
• Rented a room on the west side of the boardwalk.
• Started on foot, hit all of the best clothing shops, bought lots of linen.
• Went to rent a bike, quickly became pals with the guy running the place and scored myself a free set of wheels for my stay. Johnny, a long time local and solid guy, even rode around with me late night, which definitely felt safer. I appreciate you Johnny! 🤙
• Woke up early, rode my wheels across town to grab a coffee at Flake, best vegetarian breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.
• Did lots and lots of sight seeing, Venice Beach is an easy place to admire.

West Hollywood, you were many things. My days with you were filled with unforgettable moments. I may have had my best meal yet, and your flowers in bloom smelled lovely. But somehow, walking your streets was a special kind of lonely.

Good luck/transformation/spiritual awakening— a physical message that couldn’t have found me on a better day than today. It’s been quite awhile since I shared anything vulnerable on my socials but this feels right. Today has been one of my toughest days in a long time. I have felt more defeated than I can even remember ever feeling. I drove around the city for over an hour looking for a place to have a bite and sit alone that felt right, parked in three different parking lots just to drive away before finally settling in at The Soup Peddler off of south 1st. As I sat there eating alone, a glimpse of peace trickled in and for the first time in over a week, I felt like everything is going to be okay. As I sat in that feeling, even shaking my head up and down to myself as a signal of gratitude for the peace that I felt and for my food, I heard someone say “theres a double rainbow above you right now” I stood up, walked forward and immediately felt humbled, reassured and blessed 💛 by @luckiloulou

Music is nourishment. It will always be mind blowing to me how a single track can take me back to a moment in time 15 years ago, or how a song has so much power over my body that I can’t help but move to it, or when my arms fill with goosebumps because of the sound of a beautiful voice. Where would I even be with it? GRATEFUL to have access to it and be able to hear it, to feeeel it. This is my current favorite song and you already know its on repeat in the car ;) by @luckiloulou
