HAVE YOU HEARD?? Fellow lizard-girls rejoice: it is almost 90 degrees outside in my locale and therefore, I declare it SUMMERTIME.

My incredibly talented friend Ivana @feistyfingers was so sweet that she made me a tutorial on how to paint leopard print! 🥹 I have the best friends, y’all! Thanks for being a constant source of inspiration my dear! Everyone should head directly to her page to see her amazing designs!

Took these babies out to walk around and stare at some plants. Have you been outside today?? If NOT: I suggest you go out in the bright, hot sunshine to stare at nature’s beauty. 🌞😎🌵

🌸🌼🌺 Groovy Flowers

Inspired by the incredible @thatglosssauce - Sierra, your designs are so creative and I had to try this one out! I’m in love with how it turned out!

Took these babies to the zoo. Swipe for video of Tortellini the sea turtle, pictures of a gnarly eel, some jellyfish, my favorite (the 🐅) and me being a goof. We saw the porcupines taking a nap and I got to see both of them yawn. 🥹 What a pleasure.

Feeling inspired by all of the wonderful people I’ve met in the Nailstagram world today! ✨🫶🏻

And I cannot even comprehend that almost 800 people care enough about my silly nails to follow me! I am so flattered! 🥹 So, I thought, since I’m just farting around waiting for my pizza dough to rise, that I might tell you lovely people an itty bit about myself!

Firstly, sorry everyone I’ve met so far- my name is Genevieve Hope, but I go by Hope! When I started this account, I wanted to stay anonymous. These days - I don’t! So I’ve officially changed my name from Genny Hopeless to just Hope. 🙃 Good to meet ya!

I’m a Registered Veterinary Technician by day, at a feline only clinic for the past 12 years and I am so lucky to be able to do what I do! I might love nails, but BOY DO I LOVE CATS! 🐈‍⬛ 🐈🐱

Part of what inspired my nail obsession is the amount of time I spend doing dexterous tasks. I love to draw, to knit, to cook, to draw blood and place IV catheters (at work only 😂!) I am so proud of anything I do with my hands. Nail polish became for me, and still is, a celebration that with these hands, I can do anything! Goofy sounding? Maybe! But it’s true!

Other than working and painting my nails, I love to draw and knit and cook and generally make things! I adore nature 🌷and love to camp. 🏕️ I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for nearly eight years and we live in Kansas City with two cat dudes named Lou and Mike. I am childless by choice and have yet to even feel the slightest hint of regret.👌👍🙃

I think that sums it up! I’m not sure anyone out there cares, but I ❤️ this fantastic community and I’m having so much fun getting to know y’all! Here’s a weird mish mash of pics that have my mug in case you’re into that. Back to regular nail programming next post! Also- GO CHIEFS 🙌

kjustnails SYDNEY!!!!!

Girl, happy happy HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I was so happy that we got to spend time together this year at PBE. I felt instantly connected to you, like we’ve known each other forever!! You are such a fun, sweet, caring and kind friend with so much artistic talent!!! I love talking to you and I can’t wait to see you in person again 😭 I love you girlie!

I know you like red, so I put on a nice GLL- and I’m not so good at nail art but I sure can glue pretty crap on my nails 🙂‍↕️ I hope you enjoy it and have the incredible day that you deserve!! 😘

Thanks to our hosts @feisty_fingers and @lunarlacquers for hosting this #idkjustbirthday !!! 🫶🏻🙏❤️ by @lucky.cat.claws

@sweetandsourlacquer 🐊🥀👹 Go Touch Moss

I am managing my time extremely poorly lately, which isn’t fun and needs to be fixed and I am working on it… but here is the result of procrastination this week- I’m super happy about how both hands turned out.

Still trying to figure out how to not be busy all the time while remaining in touch with every wonderful friend I have. If we haven’t talked in a minute, I still love you and we will, soon. Thank you for bearing with me. I am working on Getting My Shit Together. 🫶🏻❤️‍🔥

I am not ready for Fall (aka Beginning of Slow Trudge To and Through Winter) but here’s me trying my to embrace it. 🫠

Hi I am here! I cannot keep every plate spinning rn 😵‍💫 so I might be sporadic in my posting - what else is new?

I just thought y’all might enjoy our recent trip to Bentonville, AR. We went to the incredible @crystalbridgesmuseum , who had an exceptional collection of 3-D items made by Keith Harring. Then @themomentary - the pictures in the grocery store? Everything in that grocery store was made from felt and it was fully stocked. Amazing.

It was an awesome escape from reality weekend. Here’s some of my favorite things we saw, plus some more maximalist henna and jagua because I can’t stop. 😊

@sassysaucepolish 🌞👙🌊 Itsy Bitsy, Teeny Weeny

I saw @feisty_fingers wearing Itsy Bitsy, so when I commented that this was going on my nails that night I weren’t lyin’!

Peep my bug friends in the slides. We have such diversity of critters since planting our native plants over the past three years! I also saw a monarch caterpillar, and there’s a hummingbird who stops by my front porch when I’m chillin’ after work nearly every day to drink nectar from our plants!

Anyways, took this beautiful polish out to the Ethnic Enrichment Festival at Swope Park- we go every year. Swipe to see my treasures from this year 👉 thinking of using that gorgeous Laotian quilt square as the centerpiece of a @ksgarner #HankieDress…🤔

Also, I was able to grab some fresh, all natural henna from @henna_hands Nida, who is the best and so kind and so talented! You can see my silly lil beginner ’attempts. Couple days ago I left the paste out alllllllll day one day while practicing intermittently and it got super thick, so it was hard to use towards the end. Having so much fun researching different cultural uses of henna and the different styles!

Lastly: I am not ready for September, I am a Summer Child and you will have to drag me kicking and screaming into fall. 😭

@lacquered_bea HAPPIEST OF SOLAR RETURNS, BABE! 🥰👹💃🌞💋

Girl…I love you. Since the days of siiiick Reddit gel sets you did, til now, til forever. Effortlessly cool, passionate and intelligent. I cherish our friendship.

Sister Bea, I just need to say 👉👈 I am SO proud of you. You were meant for @holy_order_of_perpetual_lacquer. It was only a matter of time since you bought that bottle of suspension base at PBE. 🥹

Thanks for sharing your creativity and your friendship with me for another year.

I’m wearing @holyorderofperpetuallacquer Elpis, the shade you made me for my birthday. 😭 I feel like a goddess wearing it.

Though I go to the @mostatefair every year, it usually tends to fall around my birthday.

This year, it was around yours: so I went with you in mind, collecting some Great Stuff to share with you, including some prize winning hams that I would break the glass to give to you if you were here. 🥲 This post also features some beautiful henna by @midnightmuseum, (I had to adorn myself in your honor! 🙏👹💃)

Enjoy some highlights toward the end 👉 and know how much I love you, my dear sister and friend! Do all the things today. You deserve em. 😘

🌔🐞❤️‍🔥Commence Trip no. 38 around the Sun 🌞🪲💚

I had a very special and life-changing trip around the sun last year. A lot of things changed. I have changed. I’m still changing, and for the better all the time. It’s been really hard but ultimately incredible.

All of my dear, dear friends have made this year the most extra special. I am an extroverted introvert, and I feel like I’ve really found my friends. Getting to see and meet new people at PBE while spending time with cherished friends we already know and don’t get to see often though.

Speaking of which, this extremely unique and special polish (might be my favorite in my collection) is @monarchlacquer Buggy Bits, which was sold out at PBE and subsequently gifted to me by mega-babe and precious friend Ivana @feisty_fingers. 😘💚🐛🪲🐞It is so special it had to be my birthday polish!

Here’s a mish-mash of the last few months, which have been mostly extra good. PS I took up another expensive hobby- check out my @matchymatchysewingclub #KitePants in Orange cotton-linen blend & my @sewing therapy #laciotatskirt in orange & pink block printed cotton. You will 👀more in the future for sure.

Here’s to 38 and whatever madness unfolds this year- good, bad, and everything in between. 🌞❤️‍🔥🪲

Happy birthday, birthday twin Vada @_shadow_work!! I am so happy to know you. I know I’m not very great at corresponding in a timely fashion, but you’re such an easy person to talk to. You are kind and empowered and sexy and ✨mystical✨ and I’m happy to say I know you and share a day of birth with you.

In your honor, I wore what anticipated to be a slightly more bratty green with blue shimmer- @sassysaucepolish Irish Goodbye. It’s not quite that brat green, but it’s close! I hope you love it! 💚 I had to pair it with my new @clionadhcosmetics Patina shadow so there’s a few extra pics…and we went to the Topeka Zoo. So Vada, please go through these all until you get to the tortoise- that is my birthday gift to you! (Additionally in your honor a couple of very mildly feral shots. 😂 Just slightly. At the very end. 🥹 Trying to channel more feral energy for this next tour round the 🌞!

Thank you SO much for hosting and for being three of my favorite people ever:
Ivana @feisty_fingers
ShiAnne @shanneys.polish.diary
& Christie @lucky_fin_lacquer

#VadaLovestheMoon check out all of the gorgeous manis inspired by you, Vada!

💐HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHIANNE!!! 💐

@shanneys.polish.diary Shanney!!! Happy birthday to you, my wonderful friend! You are such a bright light in my life! You are the sweetest person I know. You’re always there for me. You’re one of the first friends I made in this little hobby space I love so much.

I hope you know that despite my inconsistent response time I am always there for you. Anytime, anywhere. I HOPE YOU ARE LAVISHED WITH ALL THE BEST THINGS TODAY! You DESERVE it!!!

With so much love, here is my mani for you - @sassysaucepolish Hot Damn Anthurium 2.0, which I was eventually influenced to buy for rewind by you! 🤭 unfortunately, the shift is hard to capture, but it is gorgeous.

Go check out how your other friends celebrated you! 👆🏻

Thanks so much to my cohost @lacquered_bea, who did so despite having an upcoming launch. 🙂‍↕️ by @lucky.cat.claws

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM!!! 🎉🎉🎉

@madeofskies Kim, happy happy happy birthday! You are a joy to know! You are so exuberant and fun to talk to, and you’re so creative! I love seeing your doodles and drawings.

I hope that you eat as much delicious food as you possibly can and that you are showered with the love that you deserve! 💐🎁❤️‍🔥

I decided to wear @gardenpathlacquers Omelette du Fromage because it’s so sparkly, it reminds me of you! 🥳😘💚
