Lucky Fasavalu is a star junior setter for the Sierra Canyon High School girls’ volleyball team in Chatsworth, California. A standout in the Class of 2027, she is currently committed to play Division I college volleyball at the University of Missouri.

As the “architect” of Sierra Canyon’s offense, Fasavalu led the Trailblazers to the 2025 CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship with a 3-1 victory over Mater Dei. For her performance throughout the season, she was named the CIF-SS Division 1 Player of the Year.

Career Highlights & Honors
2025 CIF-SS Division 1 Player of the Year: Recognized as the top player in Southern California’s most competitive division.

MaxPreps All-American (First Team): Earned national recognition for her 2025 campaign.

LA Daily News All-Area Player of the Year: Honored as the top player in the Los Angeles area.

National Ranking: Ranked as the #67 player in the nation and #9 in California for the Class of 2027 by Prep Dig.

During her junior season, Fasavalu recorded elite numbers across multiple categories, according to MaxPreps:

Playing Style & Background
Fasavalu is known for her disguised setting, quick hands, and a powerful top-spin serve that frequently results in aces. Standing at 5’8”, she compensates for her height with exceptional volleyball IQ and defensive range. Outside of high school, she competes at the highest level of club volleyball for Mizuno Long Beach 16 Rockstar.

This is a very vulnerable post for me. I haven’t been as active on here cause I’m still trying to process this loss. For some it’s just a dog. However, being an only child many times I was lonely. This dog came into my life when my parents couldn’t bear another child. She was my 5th Birthday blessing. She was my sister. My best friend. My protector and shadow! I miss her! A piece of me has died. The only comfort I have in this is knowing she died in my arms and woke up running into my papas. #AllDogsGoToHeaven
