It's a small town with some big steppers...

Love to all pictured and not. This was the least incriminating selection out of my camera roll taken in Chico, California by @luckygitane

realizing I hadn't immortalized this with a post. it's my first (!) piece of Chico writing, profiling @_shadow_boxes_ -- one of the most profound artists you'll soon be seeing this side of your dreams

@themandarinmagazine ran it, regularly offering platform to the best, freshest wordsmiths and artists yet to be poached by the big rags

@chloe_edington immaculately photographed the proceedings, offering portal to the unlucky who missed Elstein's formative exhibition. hire Chloe

i like a lot of it and hate none of it-- now you take it. i'd like to have put it through another draft, but the urgency is overwhelming and i'm starting to feel the decay by @luckygitane

I've spent most of the year with this book, which flirts with the notion of swapping identities to complement whatever the moment's expression necessitates.

We all get it.

I wonder if all this time spent alone will find us consolidating our inner voices by the time we're all let out to play again. by @luckygitane

"...hören Sie Tracks von sam therapy und king dice
Söhne des stillen Zeitalters
In Bars aufheben und nur einmal weinen
Söhne des stillen Zeitalters
Liebe dich nur einmal, aber träume und träume
Gehen Sie nicht, sie gleiten einfach in und aus dem Leben
Sie sterben nie, sie schlafen nur eines Tages ein
ich werde dich niemals gehen lassen
Alles was ich sehe ist alles was ich weiß
Lass uns einen anderen Weg nehmen..." by @luckygitane

Manager: I should like to know if anyone has ever heard of a character who gets right out of his part and perorates and speechifies as you do. Have you ever heard of a case? I haven’t.

Father: You have never met such a case, sir, because authors, as a rule, hide the labor of their creations…Imagine such a misfortune as I have described to you: to be born of an author’s fantasy, and be denied life by him; and then answer me if these characters left alive, and yet without life, weren’t right in doing what they did do and are doing now to persuade him to give them their stage life.
