Chemotherapy is done! Today I got to ring the bell celebrating making it through my entire round of chemo! It honestly doesn't feel entirely real yet. This entire process has felt so unending but today, I accomplished a huge milestone so I'm that much closer to being done. I couldn't be happier to make it this point and feel especially lucky that two of my closest friends got to share it when me. Coming around that corner to all the nurses waiting and finally being that moment, was such a moment of joy and relief. I'm just so incredibly happy and can't stop smiling! 💗 by @luckyzombie84

I just might have to keep this hat.

It's been a 1930s kind of weekend. It smells crispy with the rain and I love the overcast skies. Finally got to wear this cute 1930s pom-pom knit set I bought from @papermoonvtg last year. Actually feels like fall and I'm loving every minute of it! 🍂🎃 by @luckyzombie84

Spooky season started early this year with attending the first horror convention I'd be too in ages! Had an absolute blast being a guest judge for the @gatheringoftheghouls Horrorbilly Pinup Pageant with fellow scream queen @heatherriot and @calabrese_davey. Everyone looked so killer in they're handmade fits but @katiekorvid crushed it, taking home first place the crown. Even better, I got to polish up my "Zombie Guts" custom latex dress by @vitalveinfashion and really feel most best, decaying self again.

Had the most incredible experience with @makeupbysabinac finally seeing @mychemicalromance live for their Long Live: The Black Parade tour! Seriously blown away by not only by just how much went into tune production but the entire dystopian story taking place at a hospital with theatrical characters performing around them as the tied their songs to the melodrama happening simultaneously. That first burst of flames exploding from the top of the stage; hello someone literally on fire running across the stage! Gerald Way still being fucking perfect. By the end, my voice was raw from singing along, my legs were on fire from dancing and I still wasn't ready to go home. Added bonus, @jimmyeatworld opened for them so I was already stoked hour the show but when he started singing "Hear You Me", it made the night. That specific songs sits in my heart so hearing it the live was really something. I've genuinely never experienced anything like this and now might actually like going to shows. Such a spectacular night!!! by @luckyzombie84

Last night, I sat under my favorite tree staring up at the Lunar Eclipse. It seemed to be glowing, as the Blood Moon got more vivid. I am hopeful for the powerful shift it signals. I'm tired of the heavy and ready to breath through lighter days.

Took a much needed day trip up to Jerome with @thefabulousfox to exist in my happy place and clear my head. I have always loved Jerome and felt a special connection to the spooky town. We were treated to overcast skies with rumbling thunderstorms so I felt infinity cooler after walking in the rain. Especially enjoyed Lindsay introducing me to the Jerome Art Center that's in a hundred year old hospital turned school turned art gallery with dark, empty hallways that echo with foot steps right behind you and creaking metal staircases (that I of course had to climb). My personal favorite was peaking through door holes to see a 1920s rotting auditorium that I just couldn't find a way into ... this time. Ended the day with a beautiful drive down the mountain through the rain. Finally feeling relaxed and in an awesome head space. Next Friday, July 31st, @6feetunderphx Presents “XENOMORPHIC" goth Giger themed dance night to celebrate their five year anniversary. Today marks four years without you, @theklute, so of course the week leading up today has been filled with shark references and reminders to do better about protecting our oceans. It's the little things and boy do I love how the little things add up because today, I'm just so incredibly grateful to had you as my best friend. To have been able to go on so many adventures to cities performing poetry and exploring random antique stores, that even something as simple as your trying White Castle for the first time or heading down to Tucson one Saturday to check Kon Tiki became memories I'll always be able to smile at. That there are things you showed me, seemingly simple habits, that I've adopted to make a better impact on the planet around me because that's the real gift isn't it ... that you were just such a brilliant human that you caused a ripple effect that inspired those around you to try to be better.

I'm also thinking today of the humor, the way you'd laugh so hard at something you thought was funny; how proud you'd be of a hilarious story you told or how'd you'd punk me with something gross. Without a doubt, I miss the royal fuck out of you, Klute; every day I want to tell you something or hear what you're doing, or that new shark fact you learned. Like just Thursday, I booked my first non-work, non-poetry trip without asking you if I was doing it right but I did it! I'm finally going to New Orleans so I will be eating powdered beignets in your honor and correcting the guide on the Vampires Tour because he'll definitely be doing it wrong. So as you would would remind me that shit's sad but it's also amazing because this hurt is just all the love I still have for you and I'd rather have all of it, all these memories, all these hard sobbing moments, all these pictures, all the everything that comes with being your best friend rather than none of it all and that will never change. So today, although I am missing you terribly, I am also smiling. I just love your not so stinky face so much, Klute, until our paths across again.

Super fun moment before hosting the Nerd Poetry Slam at @phoenixfanfusion. I've always wanted to do one of these so swung by @boxterphotobooth to make sure I got my fierce "Trinity" shot. Can I hear add how amazing it feels to be comfortable without extensions, false eyelashes, lipstick or vintage for an event? Just nice to not feel the need to look a certain way all the time and have fun. by @luckyzombie84

Gothic Valentine.

For my debut back since last year, I had the privilege of waking in the @missmissconstrued latex fashion show Friday night at @6feetunderphx! It felt so amazing that everyone I spoke to seemed genuinely happy that I was back. I love hearing what everyone had been up to and hanging out with the girls backstage. That first moment pausing at the coffin before engaging with the crowd. I've genuinely missed so much but little by little, getting back at it!

Last year when I first started chemo, even with the cold caps, I knew shaving my head was coming. Within a few weeks, it was falling out in handfuls so I was almost looking forward to no longer dealing with the anxiety of trying to save it. To have control over something during a time of very little want and a lot of half-to. So I called one of close friends and trusted allies, @jeska241, to help me shave it at my house. To be there when after I started it and made it through to a point where it was too emotional so she could make sure it was even. No one told me how sensitive it would be while my skin was already on fire. The following month, I showed up to my favorite goth night @6feetunderphx and surprised all my friends! The anxiety of walking in there for the first time with my shaved head, feeling fully exposed, and their immediate reactions of support and love, sometimes high-pitched dinosaurs screams, felt so incredibly amazing! It was exactly what I needed in that moment! So today I'm thinking about my wonderful friends and how much I love their spooky faces. Happy World Goth Day. 🖤🖤🖤
