Aches as a design trend have truly stood the test of time. From their origin in Mesopotamia around 2,000 BC, through the Roman, Islamic and Gothic architectural eras, to their most recent resurgence in modern design - their beauty continues to prove relevant and desirable.

Having a front seat to current design and construction trends, we can vouch that arches are still on the top of wish lists for designers and clients alike. They add interest and softness to any space and in my opinion aren’t going away any time soon! Here are some we created in our recent project.

Still obsessing over the two-tone millwork at our Project Emerson! The pop of colour paired with neutral wood tones adds warmth and character while improving the overall flow and functionality of the space.

3 Unexpected Upgrades for Your Next Entertainment Unit Renovation

We talk about three things to consider when renovating an entertainment unit. First, a beautiful bookshelf took up too much space, so we added a fake door for a new aesthetic. Second, we added mesh grills on the front doors to allow air circulation for hot electronics like a PlayStation. Third, we installed a functional fireplace with hidden doors for a beautiful and practical feature.
