🗳️ Happy early voting day!!!

Here is my obligatory post reminding you to make a plan to vote. The primary election is on March 3, but early voting started today and ends on February 27.

Did you know that the primary election is arguably one of the most important elections, but is usually one with the one of the lowest voter turnouts? Primary elections allow each political party to vote on what they want to see on the ballot for the general election in November.

Here is a quick checklist of things to consider before voting:

1. Verify your registration
2. Find a polling place
3. Review your sample ballot
4. Let your work know when you need off to vote
5. Vote early!

I’ve tagged some organizations where you can find out more about voting information, but if you have questions, shoot me a DM and I’d love to help. Happy voting, everyone!

Early voting in Texas is now open so here is my obligatory post!

Consider this your reminder to set aside some time to:

1. Verify your registration
2. Find your polling place
3. Review your sample ballot (did you know you can write down all of your candidate preferences on a sheet of paper and bring it to your polling place with you?)
4. Let your work know when you need off to go vote (most states have to let you!)
5. Vote early!!!

Word of advice: go to work conferences with people you love so that it feels more like a vacation with friends and less like a task on the to do list.
