L'attacco della Volpe a Nove Code Kurama, oltre a portare distruzione in tutto il villaggio, spezzò molte vite quella notte, tra cui quella della giovane Kushina, che in quel momento oltre ad essere la forza portante della Volpe, si sacrificò per salvare la vita del figlio appena nato.
