The launch of the Teeth exhibition last Saturday @CreswellCrags was WHOLESOME, and the sun shone for our tour of the gorge and cave.

My face hurts from smiling, and I've lost my voice from talking so much. 🙃

Thank you so much to @harley_foundation and @creswellcrags for commissioning and awarding me a solo show that people can visit to learn about the mammal teeth collection for free until Sunday 28 June 2026.🦷

Thank you to everyone who attended the launch and to @tollgatebrewery and @sugahlab for providing top-quality refreshments and designer treats for guests!

Huge thank you goes to @gcmbuchananesq and @angharadj4 for all your unwavering support for a year in the lead up to the exhibition! ☀️✨️

I'll be joining @the_garage_chilwell for the first time next weekend on SATURDAY 24 OCTOBER with a range of colourful prints, cards, decoration, small originals, and (if done on time) some painted vases.

Join me and other makers for a lovely morning of art, food, and drink whilst catching up with friends and family between 10am - 2pm.

Fresh from the studio @studioname_leics

This one took a while to figure out. It was a challenge, but after seeing it with new eyes at the weekend, I was finally able to finish it.

Exploring ideas of duality including light and dark, good and bad, and the concept of protection and conflict.

These artworks were getting a lot of attention at my recent art fairs @wirksworthfestival @themelbournefestival

They are both limited-edition prints inspired by a citizen science project to find out why pigeons exist in a variety of colour morphs.

The first print showcases the number of pigeons seen over a year. The artwork is based on a concentric circle graph with an arrow pointing to the time (8.30am) that I would count the pigeons and what month it was (starting in October). Each red bird represents 10 pigeons, and the smaller red dot equals 5 pigeons.

The next print showcases a pie chart of feathers to demonstrate the different coloured pigeons spotted over a year by the river soar in Leicester.

I've been doing art fairs since 2018, and there are so many reasons why I think they're great.

⚪️I love connecting with collectors
⚪️Sharing my inspiration with visitors
⚪️Meeting other artists and makers
⚪️Exhibiting in new venues and beautiful homes
⚪️Hearing your feedback about your favourites
⚪️Buyers finding the perfect piece for their home

They can also be challenging. The travelling, preparation, and installation can be full on, along with being with the stand for a day, weekend, or four days.

I'd recommend artists try art fairs to connect with collectors, galleries, other artists and to sell their work and buyers to attend fairs to support local creatives. 💫 by @lucyjostevens

Nesting Blackbirds is one of those paintings that I really struggled with, but in the end, I stuck with it, and it finally revealed itself after some long studio sessions.
