hairspray has been an unforgettable and life changing experience. theatre has just about always been my passion, but i don’t think i ever imagined all of the gifts it would give me.

part of me wishes i could do this show with these people over and over again. this week i am reminded that all good things must come to an end. if everything is special, then nothing is, and boy was this show a special one.

🫶🏻to my incredible team on this show including orchestra, crew members, box office people, and @wordplayers : thank you for trusting me from start to finish. thank you for believing in that 17 year old girl who started her journey here. you all have supported me and believed in me every step of the way.

🫶🏻to my incredible stage managers @nissa.d12 @mayah.kelley @abby.hamm : you all hold a special place in my heart. thank you for every minute you spent working on this show. i know your job is no easy task, and your organization and leadership throughout this process was incredible.

🫶🏻to my cast: where do i even start? you worked tirelessly for months to make this show what it was. you came early, you stayed late, you rehearsed on your own time. you came in with a positive attitude every single day. you laughed, you cried, you danced, you sang, you loved. i will be there for you anytime you need me. you were there for me in a way i will never be able to adequately thank you for. you should feel such pride in yourselves.

🫶🏻to my partner in crime. @ash_williams96 , you are a FORCE. i am inspired by you every day. your work ethic, your care and heart, your creativity and passion. you are an incredible human, and i am forever grateful for our bond. you poured everything into this show and taught me so much along the way.

🫶🏻to my friends and family and everyone who came to the show: i am nothing without all of you. thank you for your constant support. showing up means so much, and you did that every step of the way. (we even sold out a show!!!) thank you for all of it.

of course, i’ll miss it, but i don’t regret a thing. i feel proud and unbelievably grateful. thank you for everything, hairspray. 🩷 taken in Bijou Theatre by @lucymhw
