POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s taken a while, but here we are: All Things Wright, my new Substack.

A place for homes, art, design, objects and the people behind them.

There’ll be home visits, exhibitions and whatever else I’m looking at.

Plus the things I find, and the things I would actually buy.

The first post is live now. Link in bio. by @lucywright_wright

She cultured 💅🏽

Painted in Berlin exactly 100 years ago. Seems like not much has changed.

This week's Wright homes and spaces of desire...

1. An office that doesn't look like one, checkerboard rug, cognac leather chairs, a mint archway. Designed by @cristinacarullastudio for Las Marquesas (@__lasmarquesas), via @danielschaeferstudio.

2. Faded turquoise walls, a mint-green fridge, a marble slab balanced on raw stone. All that texture against one rust-red curtain. Via @nicahoop.

3. Pink plaster, burnt orange curtains, a palette pulled from faded frescoes. Styling by @sarahdebeaumont for @nordicknots, shot by @francoishalard, via @39bc.world.

4. Reflective steel, green cabinets, that yellow wall. @dimorestudio's work in @emilianosalci's kitchen, via @laura_fulmine.

5. Raven Smith's house is as bold with colour as he is with his column, obsessed. Layered reds, a mix of textures, and that lamp arching right over the chair. His home (@raven__smith), via @partnershipeditions.

Still thinking about the Brâncuși exhibition. 🤍
Completely obsessed with the craftsmanship, the simplicity, and especially the wooden plinths. I love that they were always intended to be part of the artwork, even if they weren’t recognised as art at the time.

One year ago last week, I married my best friend. It was a very intimate civil ceremony. Seven months pregnant and wearing a moon boot with a broken foot... not quite what I had in mind.
We were married at Orleans House in Richmond, one of London’s hidden architectural gems. Built in 1710 by architect John James as a Palladian villa, with its remarkable Baroque Octagon Room later designed by James Gibbs, it’s a house shaped by more than three centuries of history.
For some reason, it has taken me a year to share these photographs. It all deserved to be lived before it was documented.
One year on. 🤍 (big one coming🌚) by @lucywright_wright
