I made 7 little food bowls for my main man Gordon 😺
Many thanks to @mossstitch for putting up with me in the studio.
The last few photos are of Gordon being excited and appreciative of my loving efforts ❤️

Gordon is 17 today!!!!🥳

The voice of a banshee, the tantrums of a toddler, the subtlety of a sledgehammer, the guy who snores like a freight train on the pillow next to me, the most important being on the planet (according to him. And me).
Sometimes he smells like biscuits.
Sometimes he smells like blue cheese.
I love both!

He raises my blood pressure and treats me bad, and I couldn’t love him more!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORDON!!!🥳

As you all collectively sigh with relief - tulip season is over🥹
Here are just a few of my favourites!
I may well have to slip into another post as I’m chuffed to bits with this year’s harvest ❤️
Prepare yourself for more tulip showboating and stifle those yawns 😆
Already have my 2027 bulb wish list if anyone is interested!💐🤣

Wilmer 16 04 2026 💔

Rescued from Spain, she had been shot, beaten, psychologically broken.
My shadow from the moment we met. She imprint on me like a baby bird.

Always a work in progress. Often on the periphery of doggy fun and games, although sometimes living in the moment. She never quite recovered from the abuse. If somebody tried to stroke or pet her, muscle memory would make her flinch or cower. That was heart breaking.
Don’t get me wrong, she learned to love life, and when she let loose she really was the zoomie queen, and truly immersed in her giddy moments. That progress was joyful. That progress meant everything. She was one of those dogs that look like they’re smiling and I choose to believe that she WAS smiling. The overexcited back flips she performed when I arrived home was a terrifying and hair raising welcome!

Wilmer was extremely high maintenance and often a pain in the arse. My pain in the arse.
For the first three years she messed in the house every day due to anxiety. It was exhausting.
I found her quite overwhelming in the early days but knew categorically THIS was her home.
Her first and last safe place.

She was LOVED.
It feels like loosing one of my senses.
I see her from the corner of my eye. I still shut the gate at the top of the stairs so she can’t destroy the duvet. Or use the cat litter tray as her own personal buffet. I still put tape over the door latch so she can’t lock me out. I still feed the cat on the table so she doesn’t snort it away. I still check my footing so I don’t fall over her. I still get her bowl out every meal time. I still smell a faint whiff of her murderous farts!

It was her time.
But I’m still not ready.

Well, I haven’t made any dolls for a couple of years now but this year I’ll be back on it.
A massive thank you to @denzel069 for gently pushing me back to the sewing machine, much appreciated ❤️

Nigerian Modernism @tate
Really enjoyed this exhibition, there’s a lot to see, so a pretty good excuse for a second visit.
Also a quick visit to the Picasso and Richard Long exhibitions.
The Nigerian Modernism was hands down my favourite.
