✨ Batalha Monastery, Portugal ✨

At 122km of Lisboa up north, the interesting thing about this place is not it’s amazing gardens or interiors, it’s the part of it that was never finished.

In the back of the Monastery there’s what it was supposed to be the chapel and it’s known as the Incomplete Chapels. It was a Pantheon offered to Eduardo I and his wife, Leonor, and the construction started in 1434.

It’s unclear why Manuel I abandoned the proyect during its construction. It was most likely due to structural problems and to Manuel choosing the proyect of the Jeronimos Monastery in Belem. taken in Batalha Monastery by @luglez1996

✨ Paroisse Notre-Dame de la Daurade in Toulouse✨

We were lucky enough to be there at the moment they were celebrating a service for the new bishop while the sun was going down.

I would love to visit again when the sun is up in the sky and the interior is not as dark. Really recommend if you go to Toulouse!
