Dirty Shoe Gravel Race - 🥇

What a race! Super fun course. Made the initial front group, then a move at mile 20 made that group go down to 3, can’t believe it actually stuck. After many miles it went down from 3 to 2, then I made my move on the final climb around mile 59 and sent it solo for the last 5 miles.

I believe this is the 2nd year of this race and it is a must for next year. Super fun course - Hilly, creeks, chunky rocks, two tracks, bricks & pavement. A bit of everything out there - you will 100% have the wrong tire at some point. Good elevation for being in IL as well. Highly recommend checking it out in 2027! It’s also USAC.

I did go down and hit my hip and elbow on some rocks but luckily it was going up a very steep hill at 3mph 😂 - We are all good 🤘🏼.

On a bit of a heater right now… I must admit, it is really nice to see the thousands of hours of training finally paying off. Consistency is key people, keep at it, it will come!

A pretty special few weeks on the bike. Little Apple 150km 🥇.

Mishigami was my first race win ever and yesterday I was lucky enough to follow it up with my first gravel race win at @littleapplegravel - I raced the 150km Kong distance 🦍. 1st overall.

These were two completely different races, both challenging in their own way. Yesterday brought plenty of heat, humidity, wind and some hard gravel racing (IYKYK). I made a move around mile 50, which held, then it was a long 42 miles solo journey to the finish line.

There are a lot of hours behind these moments, so I’m just trying to appreciate them when they come. They are rare.

From chasing that first win for years to getting two in a row ❤️

Gravel Worlds 🐂

25th overall. 10th in my age group. 148 miles, almost 8,000 feet of climbing and one brutally hot day in Nebraska.

Got caught behind a crash that split me from the front group early. Found a strong chase group, settled in, and we worked well together. We all agreed to stop for water around mile 80, which ended up being a huge call in the heat.

At mile 112, the course took us straight through the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum - easily one of the coolest aid stations I’ve ever ridden through. Stopped there for another quick refill before getting back to work.

As the miles added up, we started passing riders who had gone too deep or didn’t stop enough in the heat. With 7 miles to go, I still had something left, dropped the chase group, and rode into the finish solo.

Really happy with this one. I raced smart, stayed on top of hydration & fueling, and finished feeling surprisingly good! Getting to do this with my teammates Kai, Dustin and Richard made it that much better. We all crushed it, we all brought home some hardware (Richard won a Lauf Bike!).

Riders from all 50 states and 20+ countries came to Nebraska to race bikes on gravel and we got to be part of it.

Great racing. Great people.

Illinois State Time Trial Championship - 2nd Place 🥈.

Very cool event out in Kankakee, IL hosted by @x_x_x_racing. The fields are split up by time trial bikes vs. road bikes, I participated in the road bike category.

Raced the P1/2/3 field and left it all out there (the 49-minute average heart rate says it all 😅).

I’m really enjoying these “you vs. you” races. At some point, it stops being about fitness and becomes a test of how much discomfort you’re willing to embrace.

First race of the season ✅ at @southchicagowheelmen Autobahn Omnium. First time participating in this classic season opener event, had a blast, I will definitely be back next year!

Snagged 🥈 on the time trial on Saturday.

GREAT hangs with all the Chicago teams as always. Shoutout to @indigocyclingchicago for the amazing vibes 💜 🤘🏼 - The team absolutely crushed it all weekend.

We’re a little late, but we had to give our Ultra Indigo crew the recognition they deserve for not just completing the @mishigamichallenge , but absolutely crushing it.

Huge congratulations to Luiz for being the first to conquer the 484-mile route, and to Kaeley and Claire for taking it on together as an incredible duo. What an amazing effort from all of you. We’re proud to have you repping Indigo! 💜🚴 by @luipedals
