One of the things hundreds of fashion shows taught me is to stop being afraid.
Sometimes the best beauty moments happen when you take a risk. For this look over the weekend , I literally blew glitter across the model’s face to create a cascade of gold, diamonds, and light that looked incredible on camera. The result was exactly the kind of controlled chaos I love—unpredictable in person, magical through the lens. ✨💫💎

Una de las cosas que aprendí después de hacer cientos de desfiles de moda es a no tener miedo.
A veces los mejores momentos de belleza ocurren cuando te atreves a tomar riesgos. Para este look, literalmente lancé glitter sobre el rostro de la modelo para crear una cascada de oro, diamantes y luz que se veía increíble frente a la cámara. El resultado fue exactamente el tipo de caos controlado que me encanta: impredecible en persona, pero mágico a través del lente. ✨💫💎
En los ojos y labios utilicé Infinite Chrome Flakes en tres tonos diferentes.
En el rostro y cuerpo utilicé Starlit Diamond Powder en Golden. ✨👑

Ten years ago, the amazing team at @masteredhq invited me to become one of the instructors for the @thevalgarland School of Makeup.
What made it even more groundbreaking at the time was that it was a virtual program—long before online education became the norm. We had students from 65 countries around the world, all coming together with the same goal: to take their careers in fashion makeup to the next level.
Even today, I still receive messages and emails from some of the artists who joined my live industry Q&As, which is probably the most rewarding part of all.
I was honored to be part of a faculty that included @isamayafrench, @robinblack, @nicknight, @viviennewestwood (RIP), @pixiwoo, and @id_magazine.
Looking back, it was one of those experiences that truly cemented my love for teaching. Over the years, mentoring, sharing knowledge, and helping artists grow has become one of the most fulfilling parts of my career.
Very grateful for the opportunity then—and even more grateful that I still get to teach today.💜🩷💜

Hace diez años, el increíble equipo de Mastered me invitó a formar parte del profesorado de la Escuela de Maquillaje de Val Garland.
Lo que lo hacía aún más innovador en aquel momento era que se trataba de un programa virtual, mucho antes de que la educación online se volviera algo común. Tuvimos estudiantes de 65 países, todos unidos por el mismo objetivo: llevar sus carreras en el maquillaje de moda al siguiente nivel.
Incluso hoy, sigo recibiendo mensajes y correos de algunos de los artistas que participaron en mis sesiones en vivo de preguntas y respuestas sobre la industria, y eso sigue siendo una de las mayores recompensas.
Fue un honor compartir esta experiencia junto a Isamaya French, Robin Black, Nick Knight, Vivienne Westwood, Pixiwoo and i-D Magazine.
Mirando hacia atrás, fue una de esas oportunidades que confirmó cuánto me apasiona enseñar. Con los años, mentorizar, compartir conocimientos y ayudar a otros artistas a crecer se ha convertido en una de las partes más gratificantes de mi carrera.

Thank you to my old friends @shiseido for inviting me to spend the afternoon with the doctors at Moy Fincher Chipps Dermatology in honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Had a full body skin examination, learned a lot, and left with a few sun protection goodies as well.

Such a great reminder that taking care of our skin goes beyond beauty — and that getting checked regularly for anything suspicious is something we should all make time for. ☀️

Gracias a mis viejos amigos de Shiseido por invitarme a pasar la tarde en Moy Fincher Chipps Dermatology en honor al Mes Nacional de la Investigación del Cáncer. Me hicieron un examen completo de la piel, aprendí muchísimo y también me llevé algunos productos de protección solar.

Un gran recordatorio de que cuidar nuestra piel va mucho más allá de la belleza y que todos deberíamos tomarnos el tiempo para revisarnos regularmente ante cualquier cosa sospechosa. ☀️
