Before there were rules, there was Ziff Hudson's car — the very first vehicle we ever ran on this dyno. No safety gear, a car trying to pull wheelies, and a shop fan holding the nose down with a strap. This is the run that taught us safety comes first.

TBT to one of my favorite memories: winning Sick Summer with El Toro and the team of Motion Race Works. 🐂🏆

If you don't know Sick Summer — it's brutal. Multiple tracks, multiple states, and you drive the car between every single stop. No car trailer, no shortcuts. Just you, the car, your racing partner and whatever's left of it by the end of the week. Tiny 8.5 wide tires and manual shifting power glide!

Me and Brett LaSala took El Toro, @motionraceworks Coyote-powered Foxbody, and put down a best of 4.77s at 150 MPH for the win in Rowdy Radial 1/8th mile — averaging 4.89s for the whole event. Still one of the most enjoyable weeks I've had in this sport.

I was a road racing kind of guy — Until I moved to the USA.
I joined FuelTech over 15 years ago doing tech support for road racing — that was my world. Then I moved to the United States, saw hardcore drag racing up close for the first time, and that was it. Completely hooked. There's nothing like sub 1s 0-60mph. Sub 4s 0-200mph. Real horsepower! taken in Autódromo FuelTech by @luisdeleonft
