A weekend weโ€™ll never forget. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ This weekend in Madrid, we had the opportunity to compete in the Esencia World Social Competition, and weโ€™re still processing all the emotions that came with it. This was our first weekend out of the country in an event TOGETHER and we are incredibly grateful to have taken home 1st place, and 3rd place. ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅ‰ But beyond results, what made this experience so special was something we never could have plannedโ€ฆ getting the chance to dance with each other in the finals. We spend so much of our lives dancing together. Training, creating, teaching, pushing each other, growing together, and sharing this passion every single day. But stepping onto that floor as individual competitors, and then finding ourselves across from one another in a world competition, was such a surreal full-circle moment. Competitions challenge you in ways that go far beyond technique. They ask you to trust yourself, be vulnerable, stay present, and show who you are without knowing whatโ€™s coming next. And thatโ€™s something we hope to carry back to our students in the U.S. โค๏ธ Thank you to @esenciafestival -the organizers, the judges, every incredible dancer who shared the floor with us, and everyone who supported us in the audience and through the screen๐Ÿ“ฒ๐ŸŒŽ Quรฉ fin de semana tan especial. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ This is only the beginning โœจ . . . ๐Ÿ“ธ @phothomasofficial ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ @luisytayofficial ๐Ÿ“ @esenciafestival _____________________________________________ #bachataistakingover #luisytay #bachatafusion #bachataworld by @luisytayofficial

Our #otra in @sensual_movement MIAMI was something special โœจ๐Ÿ’œ For Luis, itโ€™s always a challenge dancing to covered songs but this time around, he let me choose ๐Ÿซ  There is always something unique that happens when we choose to feel first, and then express. We invite you all to dive deep in that discomfort. Itโ€™s there that you will find the growth. Thank you for the endless love.
