[eng] Sorbian traditional dances in the last piece of a formerly large forest near Slěpe/Schleife. After a long legal battle, this forest was devastated for lignite mining in January of this year, joining over 130 Sorbian villages in the coal pit.

Analog photos published in february edition of Rozhlad magazine, it’s a great magazine, learn Sorbian so you can read it 🎀 @rozhlad taken in Schleife by @lukaletko

Cołnaŕ / Give them something to look at

Tourists come to look. Cołnaŕ gives them something to look at 🎀 Cołnaŕ is Lower Sorbian for Kahnfährmann, the iconic boatman of today’s Spreewald tourism. He connects queer aesthetic codes with visuals from my home and creates a character that’s more true to my own experience.
