I’ve been watching @jeremyjones @nick_russelll @elenahight and many others splitboard adventures for a long time now, dreaming that one day I’ll be ready for my own little adventure. and the day has finally come and.. it was the most humbling experience of my life, that showed my how much harder I have to train and how much more I have to learn. but it was a great start of that journey, I’m hooked now and hungry for more and can’t wait to be in the mountains again. thank you @max_otz @jennni.wren for being best and most patient guides!

@trebleconenz has a special place in my heart. damn, I think it’s my favourite place on Earth and I can’t believe it’s only few days till the saddest (and also the most fun in the same time) day of the year - closing day. but don’t worry, I’ll print some of my favourite photos taken at TC in the last few seasons, so now you can have Treble Cone in your room ;) they come in two sizes - A4 ($70) and A3 ($120), unframed and I can ship anywhere in NZ! My first time at @mtolympusnz and I’ll remember this trip forever. But it didn’t start great. Got my ass and ego (and ribs) absolutely kicked by rope tow on the first day, missed all of my friends M.O.F.O. runs and spent more time at the Top Hut drinking DoBros than snowboarding. Luckily the second day was much better. We took our splitboards for a little walk and honestly, can't imagine a better day for it - beautiful weather, amazing terrain, fresh lines and pretty decent company. Splitboarding is so much fun, spending time in the mountains with your friends is the best. 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve been dreaming about riding the “back” slopes of Treble Cone every day since I first hiked to TC summit almost five years ago. It took me some time to develop proper skill set and collect proper gear, but it finally happened and I don’t think I was ever happier than when sliding it down last weekend. And I don’t think I was more stressed than when we had to boot pack that steep couloir and transition on top of it to get our second lines. It doesn’t happen very often, but when I saw our skin track and lines on the way back, I was pretty proud of what we’ve done that day. It’s probably nothing crazy for most, but it was pretty big deal for me, considering I haven’t snowboarded or even been in the mountains in winter till I was basically 30yo. Thank you @jeremy.pel for being a part of this special day, always pushing me of my comfort zone, but also keeping us safe!
