After 3 years, we finally get to say it… our sweet baby is due in March, thanks to our surrogate and best friend, @elizabeth_crutch. 🤍

There are so many people Luke and I want to acknowledge — our family and friends, Elizabeth’s family, our incredible IVF team, and so many others who have been with us along the way. You all believed in this dream with us, and we will carry your love and support with us forever.

But most of all, we are endlessly thankful for Elizabeth.

Luke and I feel incredibly lucky to finally be experiencing moments we often wondered if we’d ever get to have. You have made our greatest dream a reality. We love you more than you know, and we will always be profoundly grateful that you chose to do this for us.

To our little love, no one has ever wanted anything more than we want you. We can’t wait to meet you.

We decided to share our infertility journey to help normalize these difficult topics in hopes that someone will feel less alone. These past few years have changed us forever, and we know firsthand how hard this experience can be. While we know there are no perfect words, we want to acknowledge your strength and hope that one day soon, your day comes, too.

For the past few years, our lives have revolved around infertility — the waiting, the hope, the heartbreak. It has a way of touching everything… how you see your body, your future, and yourself. It’s not just about not getting pregnant — it’s grieving the life you thought would come easily, while finding the strength to keep believing when it doesn’t.

We are so grateful that we’ve been able to create biological embryos — real, tiny pieces of Luke and me. Even though carrying a pregnancy myself hasn’t been possible, this journey has shown us there are many ways to become parents. Letting go of that dream has been painful and deeply humbling… but it’s also opened the door to something incredibly meaningful.

That door leads to Elizabeth. My best friend, who has offered to be our surrogate. To be loved in a way where someone is willing to do this for you… there truly aren’t words. It’s something we’ll never take lightly.

This path isn’t the one we imagined — but it’s ours. Built on resilience, science, friendship, and an overwhelming amount of love.

One day, our child will know just how wanted they are. That it took courage, and the love of an incredible woman to bring them into this world. They will always be the dream we never stopped believing in.

This isn’t a pregnancy announcement, but the beginning of a journey that means so much to all of us. Luke, Beth, and I believe that conversations around infertility and the many ways to build a family truly matter — and deserve to be held with care. If sharing even a small part of our story helps someone feel less alone or more understood that means everything to us.

Today is National IVF Day

The world’s first IVF baby was born July 25th, 1978. Science truly is magical. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the incredible embryologist, doctors, and nurses who make miracles possible every day. Luke and I feel so incredibly lucky to be guided by such compassionate and skilled hands at our clinic.

This video is just a glimpse into what our journey has looked like.

IVF is draining - emotionally, physically, and mentally... it’s just exhausting. I hope that one day, Luke and I can look back on all of these videos while watching our children play and think to ourselves, “it was worth it”.
And not just worth it - but a reminder of how deeply we believed in the family we were building.

I hold so much space for others that are walking this path, it’s unfair and so lonely. Please know I’m sending you all so much love and hope that your “one day” is just around the corner. 🤍🍍
