🔮 "The Hypnagogue" 🔮
Acrylic on canvas, 2026, Sold

Hypnagogia is the liminal space between dreams and reality (just before sleep!) where the imagination blooms into awareness, and inside of that space I discovered an impossible realm of aesthetic possibility. This work (and the last, "The Celestial") have been monumental in understanding that possibility, of what we can and will become through expression of the soul.

“Your hearts know in silence
the secrets of the days and the nights.
But your ears thirst for the sound
of your heart’s knowledge.
You would know in words that which
you have always known in thought.
You would touch with your fingers
the naked body of your dreams.

And it is well you should.
The hidden well-spring of your soul
must needs rise and run murmuring to the sea;
And the treasure of your infinite depths
would be revealed to your eyes.
But let there be no scales to weigh
your unknown treasure;
And seek not the depths of your knowledge
with staff or sounding line.
For self is a sea boundless and measureless.”

- ‘On Self Knowledge’ (Kahlil Gibran, 1923)

💠 "The Celestial" 💠
Acrylic on Canvas, 2026, Sold

In my first year as a painter, the muses of this dimension divinely inspired me, but looking back it took approximately a 7 year cycle (from 2019 to now) of transformational life experience to forge the painterly vessel, and I am blessed by them yet again ☺️.

(As always: no AI influence whatsoever.)
