I dream of us together
Sipping chamomile tea
As we sit on the balcony
Looking out at the lake
And gazing up at the moon
Enamoured by the
Waxing and waning
Phases of life

I recall that at first
And for many years
I did not understand the appeal
Of Neutral Milk Hotel
I might even say I hated it
And yet
Something in me
Felt there was
Something in there
That I had yet to discover
And I should keep trying
Until one day it clicked
And they're now among my favourites
So what I'm trying to say is
Don't give up on people too soon
It might just take some time
For them to come around
To your unique form of brilliance

Be so undaunted
That people hear your thunder
Before they ever come close to seeing you

Be so relentless
That flocks of them travel far and wide
Simply to be in your presence

Be so focused
That you continue flowing
No matter the obstacles in your path
.
I am always inspired when I see people who are so passionate about what they do that they fully embody it. You can feel it when you see them do their thing.

One of the industries where I see this the most, and this is my guilty pleasure admission, is professional wrestling. I watched it a bunch as a teen, drifted in and out since then, but I always seem to keep tabs on what's happening. When it's done well, it's some of the best performance art on earth.

Because of that, the algorithm started showing me reels of Samantha Irvin a few weeks ago and watching her work is like watching a Rocky training montage; I feel inspired and uplifted every time.

Probably not coincidentally, I'm currently visiting Niagara Falls, and it feels like connecting with that same energy, to me.

May we all find that thing that allows us to fully dive into showing who we are as individuals.

The support I think I need
To reach my desired destination
May not be available at this time
Or in the way I would prefer

But I will not discount my gratitude
For the incremental support
That is available in this moment
To help shepherd me through
Which is all I need for today

We have all been here
In one form or another
Since the beginning

From a primordial stardust stew
And all the miracles that led us
To the miracle that is you
Receiving this message today

We are all so much more
Than we believe ourselves to be

In that moment of stillness
I could feel your loving presence
From across the globe

I know that
When I return to stillness
You will be there still

Be still
Be silent
Nature knows all the questions
And has already answered
All who are open to hearing
With their whole heart

There is no easy way
There is only the way
The ease of which
Depends on my approach
To the path beneath my feet
And the landscape that surrounds

All fireworks and glitter
The ones who stand out
Shine their own light
Even while reflecting ours

American and European freshwater eels regularly travel an incredible distance to congregate and procreate in the same location in the sea
Then simply return to their river homes to live out their lives til they are called to do so again
And if you don't sit back in wonder about this
Every now and again
I wonder if maybe
You could wonder
Just a little bit more
Because the world
Sure could use
A little more wonder

Have you ever noticed
The waves of colour
In the tall grass?
The variety of wildflowers
By the roadside?
Stick to the speed limit
Just for a moment
And know
That wherever you may go
You will arrive on time
More enriched from the journey
Than any reward at the destination

I know love exists because
When the land is bare
A humble dandelion will arrive
To quietly pierce through
The toughest terrain and
Unlock the essentials of life
Water, air, nutrients
And beauty
