Today was my last day at rafters and where do I even start really it’s been an incredible 6 years of my life learning so much as the time went by. Just wanted to thank everyone who’s been on the journey with me so far in my career from stepping foot into the rafters riverside kitchen and being given an opportunity to develop as a chef by Alistair and Tom and then learning how to cook and develop my skills as a chef working under John who was my first head chef not just being a great mentor but a great friend whenever i needed advice and then stepping forward to the rafters team in Sheffield working under dan and Luke, understanding their methods and knowledge of their cooking was inspiring in itself and everyone here has been such great people to work with good vibes and just good memories along the way and although it’s coming to an end my rafters journey it’s not a negative it’s positive because I’ve made great friends for life and people I hopefully will be able to call for advice from throughout my career and now is a new challenge where I’ll be taking my first big step in a kitchen understanding what it’s like to be part of a management team and its gonna be a great new challenge for me so really just a Thank you to every single chef and member of staff I’ve worked with over the past 6 years shaping me from a boy to a man I appreciate every single one for being great people to work with. by @lukedavis3605
