Found this piece of wood while walking in the forest nearby with my son at lunchtime and thought it looked like something in particular. We brought it home and it’s now had a paint job!

This Saturday I shall be both performing and enjoying a raft of other amazing artists and performers at Threshold Was Here!

Threshold festival was a regular fixture for me. I believe I’m one of just a small handful of people that have performed at every year the main festival was on, often with a couple of different acts at a time.

I am excited to be back in Liverpool for Threshold’s final send off, which just so happens to coincide with my birthday weekend. Two very good reasons to celebrate in superb company in a place that’s so dear to me! An event poster with the text Threshold Was Here, 1st August. The rest of the text says Operation Lightfoot x Aline Costa present their new work Endings for dancer and cellist, plus special guests by @lukemcello

A slight tweak to the line up, now with local musician Louis Scheuer in place of Ben Jennings who is sadly no longer able to be with us this weekend. Nonetheless, it will be a cracking night of dreamy folk and ethereal sounds - bag your ticket in advance online or pop into the cafe 🎫

#dreamfolk #acousticnight #whatsonbirmingham #moseley #livemusicbirmingham Acoustic night at BPM Cafe this Saturday 25th April at 7pm with music from Skylon, Nancy Davis, Louise Scheuer, and Reid Anderson. Tickets £9 advance from shadesmusic.co.uk/events or £11 on the door taken in BPM Cafe by @lukemcello

Happy ADHD Awareness Month! 💫
Here’s a throwback to one of my favourite moments working on ADHD The Musical!

Singing ‘Made It’ with the wonderful Gillian Hardie and a gorgeous string quartet 🎻✨

Stay spicy, my neurodivergent queens 🌶️👑
(And in case anyone’s wondering — yes, this is satire. There’s no Waitrose in Liverpool, baby! 😂)

I’m a proud owner of a Lidl Plus card, but often forget to pick up my free baked good. #ADHDLife

Living within a few miles of a UK Dark Skies designated site means I’m a bit spoilt on a clear night, and as much intrigued as inspired!

Sunday’s ‘office’ was a Cornish beach - a beautiful setting for a wedding! A photo of a black hard cello case on a beach with blue sea and sky in the background by @lukemcello

A bumper musical weekend of 1 gig (thanks again @bobhowla for having us- check out their music if you haven’t already!). That was followed by 2 weddings with a string quartet of lovely folks. My first ever time playing on a beach today, in a performance possibly immortalised by a very active film crew and drone operator! Having spent a chunk of the weekend on motorways in a Fiat 500 with my cello Saoirse flying shotgun, and about 10 hours of playing, I’m spending this week mostly stretching…
