I can’t wait for another opportunity to carry my cross and declare publicly about the God who didn’t let me tap out of my Job season.

I’ll happily forget 2024. Last year I was stretched to the point where I would say I was torn, from trauma and grief to disappointment and sorrow, there were many factors that contributed to me feeling like I lost everything including the presence of a present God. I felt dead inside and as much as I prayed and tarried for wholeness, I just felt abandoned by Him

Usually people testify of God ‘keeping’ them during hard times… I didn’t feel kept, I felt alone, tossed to and fro and overlooked…

Someone might read this and think why would I want to testify about a God who allowed me to feel abandoned… and it’s because of purpose. The reason I call 2024 my Job season is because I felt like I lost everything, even myself, and I was at breaking point but I didn’t break, nor did I throw in the towel even though I wanted to, but it was a lesson because when you’re stripped bare, you see what’s left, I had nothing to give, nothing to pour into, nothing to show, nothing to lean on, but I had a mouth to pray and a bunch of emotions to vent and God heard it all

After being stripped bare with my humanity on show, the One true Holy God who shouldn’t have anything to do with me chose to restore me… I didn’t pray a specific prayer, I didn’t have hands laid on me by a prophet, I didn’t come out of a 24hour fast, I just slept from one night to the next and just like that, my blanket of depression, apathy, pessimism, condemnation and pain was lifted… I began to feel joy, hope, optimism, freedom, life and the world seemed more colourful.

God loving me gives me purpose. And with that purpose I choose declare how God saw a man who had nothing to offer him except pain and flaws yet chose to restore him anyway. I’m still processing my 2024 and I’m building back my faith day by day with the Lord but it’s better to build slowly WITH Him than finding a quick fix without Him

And when I say ‘God’ I don’t want any confusion, I mean Jesus Christ, Yahweh, the I AM✝️

Delighted to have been invited by @kovapr to the VIP screening of The Chosen Season 5!

The start is very strong and I can’t wait for the full season to come out so I can watch it

From season one to now The Chosen has done a phenomenal job of portraying the events in the gospels… It’s a very great depiction of the Jesus we see in the Bible and provides a lot of context and explanations to scriptures we can often overlook when reading the text!

I’m grateful to the writers and the production team! The Chosen season 5 is looking sarious @thechosentvseries by @lukenovember
