February 1st, 2024 - I had broken my thumb in a game and a week later, was told my senior year was over. I was devastated. I had put a NCC jersey on for the last time without even knowing it.

Although it's been tough to be on the sidelines this year, it's truly been a blessing. I have never felt closer to the people around me.

These last 4 years have given me some of my lowest lows and highest highs. I wouldn't change anything. Thankful for this team for never leaving my side. Thankful to this team for allowing me to play another four years. Thankful for the life long friendships I have made. I'll always be a cardinal, no matter where the next chapter is.

I didn't think id be making this post for another 2 years. Unfortunately, I have decided to go ahead and end my collegiate volleyball career. Simply put, the last 4 years have been one. endless. grind. A grind that I truly feel in love with. In the past 2 months, i quickly realized this is no longer something that gives me joy. At the end of the day, i'm TIRED. I just don't have the mental capacity or physical want to keep going for another 2 years. It's just time for me to challenge myself in different ways.

It feels like I can finally breathe and take some time to enjoy what life is outside of the court.

While I might be walking away from 2 more years, I can't say enough good things about the 4 years I did play college volleyball. It was truly the best decision I made. From the people I have met, the memories I made, the games I got to play in, i truly have no regrets playing as long as I did.

As this chapter closes, I am excited to see where life takes me next. by @lukeschmidtt
