“Like all songs, I want to leave them open for the listener. So I guess I could just loosely say that there are many cliches that float around about how relationships can or will go; in movies, in books, in common phrases, that I don’t believe are very helpful or even true, and they are all worth questioning, in order that we don’t miss the person actually in front of us.” - Zoe

Sweet Thief is our tiny attempt at exploring the conundrums and contradictions of the day. An effort which, as the album progresses, seems to resolve towards infinite expanse. Maybe even finding ‘joy’ somewhere in that space. Or maybe it’s just a document of two people seeking it.

Sweet Thief arrives July 10th

“We shot this vid with my older brother, Matthew Hassett, and friend Jason Petruccelli for an unreleased song ‘River at Your Feet’, at the foothills of a forest at Healesville outside of Melbourne. It’s is a live single take sung into Jay’s Nikon camera which was sat on the ground. We felt we had to repeat a verse because friends nearby were having boisterous fun but then the kookaburras laughed even harder on the repeat.”
