Movement/Displacement/Identity

The Collective invites you to the opening evening of our upcoming exhibition exploring the complex weight of human movement and shared spaces. Beyond our participatory shoe sculpture installation, built from the generous donations of the Makhanda community, our opening night on September 22nd will feature immersive live elements to deepen the experience:

Live Performance: Catch a gripping set by Dave Knowles bringing raw energy to the floor.
Spoken Word Poetry: Experience powerful, reflective lyricism live from Ron.

🗓 Opening Evening: September 22nd
⏰ Time: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Location: Dukes, 61 New Street, Makhanda

A massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to our shoe donations so far. Our participatory installation at Dukes will continue accepting contributions through September 23rd as we build this community sculpture together. In proud partnership with Food4Futures and Dukes.

A last note, Artworks will be up for sale!

Warmly,
