One dinner conversation.
That’s all it was.
A thought.
“What if we opened a boutique?”

We took a gamble on ourselves. We poured everything we had into an idea that felt equal parts exciting and terrifying. We worked harder than we ever imagined, chased beautiful things around the world, and trusted that if we built something with intention, the right people would find us.

They did.

Somehow, a month earlier than we ever dreamed, LuLuMar already feels like everything we hoped it could become. This summer has given us so much more than a beautiful boutique. It has given us a community. Customers who have become friends. Conversations we’ll never forget. A place in Montauk that feels exactly like where we were meant to be.

As we turn the page to August, we’re filled with gratitude and already dreaming about Summer 2027. More beautiful brands. More unforgettable gatherings. More reasons for you to stop in and stay awhile.

A very special thank you to Lauren Dana Ellman for including us in this beautiful
Travel + Leisure story, and to Tessa Carro, Fora Travel Advisor, for choosing LuLuMar as her pick for elevated resortwear and “Best Shopping” in Montauk.

LuLuMar was born from our favorite kind of treasure hunt. We wander far from home, discover beautiful things in unexpected places, and bring back the pieces we can’t stop thinking about.

Our hope was to recreate that feeling in Montauk. A shop where you never quite know what you’ll discover, because every piece has been found, chosen and curated with you in mind.

Turns out, Travel + Leisure agrees the hunt is worth it.

Paris taught us a few things.

We arrived armed with lessons from our first summer, a better
understanding of our customers, and a mission to find pieces you won’t see everywhere else.

We left with sore feet, fresh inspiration, some VERY exciting finds, and a few more lessons under our belts.

Turns out, building a business in your second act is one big learning curve. But doing it with your friend in Paris? Not a bad classroom.🫶🏼

We came for the sweaters. We stayed for the inspiration.
(And possibly the gelato.)

From selecting the perfect cashmere and creating our own patterns to debating buttons, collars, trims, and every last detail...

Spring/Summer 2027 is taking shape, and we are OBSESSED.
But Florence gave us so much more than beautiful knitwear.
The art, the architecture, the food, the wine... inspiration around every corner. And the incredible artisans who generously shared their knowledge, craftsmanship, and a few secrets about what makes truly exceptional cashmere.

We came to Italy to make sweaters. We left with an education, a whole lot of inspiration, and absolutely no self-control around gelato.

LuLuMar Season Two is looking molto bene. 🇮🇹
