While most run from ghosts, Lulu makes friends with the supernatural. Turns out, they have snacks - and Lulu has no problem accepting treats from strangers, living or otherwise.

Trick or treat? Pff, Lulu doesn’t do tricks. Just treats.

Wishing @thorntonpark a fun and safe Halloween weekend filled with treats! 🍬

Lulu turned the calendar to September and is ready for crisp mornings, cool breezes and the first little hint of fall…🍁

Oh.
Nope.
It’s still hot.
And raining.

Wake him when Florida decides to participate in autumn.

Orlando Weekly has spoken, and Lulu came in #2 for Best Local Big Shot in Best of Orlando 2026.

It’s fine. He’s fine. We’re all fine.

Besides, Lulu knows the truth: the real win this year was his birthday. His community showed up BIG, we raised money for local cat rescues, celebrated art, supported our neighborhood businesses and had one heck of a party. And, FYI, planning for Lulu’s Birthday 2027 has already begun.

As for this whole second-place business? Lulu remains confident that he is, in fact, amazing and unquestionably the Best Local Big Shot in his own mind - and really, isn’t that what matters?

He will, however, be having a serious conversation with his agents about their lackluster 2026 vote-getting campaign. (In their defense, the birthday was A LOT. They crashed).

Management promises to do better next year.

Anyhoo… go give Lulu a little extra love this week and remind him that around @thorntonpark he’ll always be #1.

July already? Lulu has officially turned the calendar page… and is is settling in for a long holiday weekend. 🇺🇸

As you celebrate, please keep your pets in mind—fireworks can be overwhelming and scary for them. A safe, quiet space (and maybe a few extra treats) can make all the difference.

Lulu’s plan? Stay inside, take naps, get treats. Great weekend.

“Can I get a portrait of you and your cat ears and your cat hat?”

If you’re working on something; keep going.

Today is day 113 of photographing strangers. by @lulunleashed

Our favorite neighborhood icon is once again up for votes in Orlando Weekly’s Best of Orlando for: Best Local Big Shot Who’s Not an Elected Official

And friends, we cannot mess this up.

Last year, @annaforflorida very graciously rescinded her win to Lulu because she is technically an elected official, and Lulu is technically a cat. But this year? We are not relying on loopholes, technicalities, or last-minute acts of political kindness.

We are VOTING!

Lulu is a local big shot. Lulu is not an elected official. Lulu has never attended a budget meeting, paid taxes, or responded to an email. He is clearly the most qualified candidate.

And while you’re voting, don’t forget: Lulu’s mural is up for @orlandoweekly votes too. The mayor’s face is literally on a wall. That is public service.

Vote daily through July 15.

Do it for Lulu. Do it for @thorntonpark Do it for cats everywhere who believe they deserve power without responsibility.

Be a COOL CAT & join us on Tuesday, December 22nd at 5pm for the @staffdna Cure Bowl😸🏈🩷🎗️ by @lulunleashed

Hello, June. The mayor is turning his calendar page.

The birthday celebration may be over, but the legend continues. Lulu is always to be celebrated.

Flip those calendars, admire our favorite neighborhood icon, and let Lulu guide you into a new month of sunshine, snacks, naps, and judgment from across the room.

If you have your Lulu calendar up, tag us in your June page turn. The mayor likes to know he is being properly displayed.

And remember: Local cats are always in need. If you missed the birthday fundraiser but still want to help, please consider donating to @brozanskiforcats for doing the daily work for cats in need.

New month. Same mayor. Same powerful vibes.
