the last days of august.
the air already remembers autumn.

I grew up here. but through the lens
it becomes a city i’ve never been to,
full of details i must have walked past
a thousand times without ever really seeing them.

old facades, narrow streets,
small cafés with the doors still open.
golden light on tired stone.

i’m waiting for autumn like a child
waits for christmas.
this summer was too much,
too heavy, too long.
the kind you’d rather forget.

but something is shifting.
it’s going to be better. 🍋
