Since we have a lot of new followers. Hi my name is Christina. Im an Army veteran and was a firefighter for 7 years. The kind of career that teaches you how to save everyone else and forget to save yourself. Somewhere between the calls, the chaos, and the burnout, I found breathwork. And breathwork started my wellness and awakening journey. That journey became LÜM Breathwork — my nervous system regulation and somatic healing practice. And LÜM became the foundation for something bigger. SOMA Wellness Club was born from my backyard near West Palm Beach, but I didn’t know it at the time. I started hosting local wellness events right on my lawn, because I wanted to build the space I wish I had when I was running on empty. A space where wellness doesn’t feel like a chore. Where fitness isn’t punishment like the military. But where wellness and community meet. Where you can sweat, plunge, breathe, heal, and connect and laugh, all in one afternoon, surrounded by like minded people. In 3 months, SOMA has produced events at Hook Hall in Petworth, The Stacks in Buzzard Point, a private social club mansion in downtown, and we’re heading to a cannabis lounge in Ivy City, a world-class tennis campus in College Park, and eventually private members only retreats. Partners include Orangetheory Fitness, Fuse Pilates, Club Pilates, Balance Gym, Neighbors DC, and a growing roster of 20+ wellness brands.. This is just the beginning. And if you’re reading this, you’re early. With love, Christina🤍 #thingstodoindc #wellnesseventsdc #dcwellness #dcevents by @lumbreathwork_

80 people walked into Hook Hall as strangers, laid down on their mats. And for 45 minutes, entered an immersive breathwork portal. This is the energy of a room full of people choosing to feel anything they’ve been holding and deciding to let it all go on the exhale. 🧘🏻‍♀️ If you weren’t in this room, the next one is June 28th More information dropping soon💥 Breathwork Led by @lumbreathwork_ #dcevents #dcwellness #thingstodoindc #dmv #alexandria by @lumbreathwork_

It all started in my backyard in South Florida. Before “social wellness clubs” were trendy, I used to host a 2-hour wellness experience every Sunday offering @lumbreathwork_ + Contrast Therapy. I then started connecting with other facilitators and adding other modalities to the lineup. I then started hosting events at larger venues with local wellness and conscious based vendors. Which then would organically grow into a social wellness club experience. I created SWC as a way for founders, entrepreneurs, and work professionals to find authentic connection with like-minded, wellness focused individuals. As the world continues to feel heavy and life continues to get so busy, I created SWC so that resetting the nervous system wouldn’t be so far out of reach, a farmers market, a spa day, and social networking would all be found in one Saturday afternoon. Next experience: 10/17 at @volobalt 10-1pm or 10/24 in Alexandria with @themuvestudios see link in bio for 🎟️ #dmv #dc #thingstodoindc #dcevents #dcwellness by @lumbreathwork_
