An unusual search. And an experience I'm still trying to make sense of. I'll share the full story soon.

Have you ever experienced something you couldn't quite explain? by @luminosehund

I love watching Lika work. So much curiosity, determination and personality packed into one little Labrador. 🥰

Sometimes the best thing I can do is simply stand back and let her work. 🐾💛 by @luminosehund

Now I'm curious!
What was your dog's breed originally bred to do? And if you have a mixed breed, which traits do you recognise from the different breeds? I'd love to learn more about your dogs! 🐾

Labradors are bred to retrieve, but their many other qualities make them incredibly versatile dogs. And retrieving is still something Lumi absolutely loves! 🥰 by @luminosehund

A little preventive bed bug inspection for a returning client who regularly welcomes guests from abroad.

Sometimes, peace of mind is exactly what we're looking for.

No indications this time, and Lika did an absolutely brilliant job! 🐾❤️

LIKA AND LUMI: good Sunday everyone!
Our first stop of the day is in Sweden as we meet a pair of working dogs - meet Lika and Lumi
Here’s their story:
‘Lumi and Lika are two working Labradors from Sweden, and they have a slightly unusual job — they’re bedbug detection dogs. They’re trained to search for the scent of live bed bugs and indicate when they find them.
Lumi is the more experienced one and works on real detection jobs, while Lika is still in training and very much convinced that everything should happen at full speed. 😅
When they’re not searching for bed bugs, they’re basically just two Labradors doing Labrador things — running, swimming, training, eating and creating a reasonable amount of chaos. 🐾
I run a small bedbug detection business with them, and this account follows their work, training and everyday life.’
Very cool! See them in action @luminosehund

Sometimes life takes you somewhere you never expected.
And sometimes, losing the life you knew is how you find the one that truly fits. 💛🐾
