Helloo, it's Emmi-Riikka of @noxfelix_ ~ I thought it'd be nice to share some of our Stage Design Concept Art, since there's starting to be a lot of stuff in the archives to look and ponder at now that our Nox Felix is about 5ish years old!

Swipe through to read some background info on each design.

If you want us to design and produce a stage especially for you, or WITH you, let's talk~

This Stargate concept (here and next slide) was some of the very first stage designs. Up until 2026 Ville cut everything by jigsaw and I hand painted all pieces, so this concept was too heavy duty to materialise at that time. It still tickles at the back of my mind though.

When we started doing larger scale stage designs and did everything by hand, it became important to consider the short summer season when it's possible to build and paint outdoors in Finland. So the designs really had to be fairly quick to cut, paint and build in just under a couple of months for the summer season. Some of these firsts designs were also too material heavy for the resources available to us when starting out from scratch.

In late 2022 We did People of the Butterflies NYE Stage Design. These pieces were cut with jigsaw from hard foam, and painted. Next slide has some geometrical pieces we added to the design, with the more finalised concept.

I really dig the flame-feathery shape that's used here as sort of wings. We used that shape a lot over these last few years, since it was easy to make and it really hit the mark with what we were going for stylistically. I remember around this time starting to wrap my head more around scaling the designs to make them more feasible to produce for us.

Some random concept.

Another random concept, this would still be really nice to make but it would need some redrawing.

Combining the previous two concepts. You could layer some forest/pine tree visuals on the sides, and more animalistic layering in the middle.

Again Ville jigsawed everything for a larger stage concept, and here we really thought about how to maximise the wood material to cut as many pieces as possible from what was available. That constraint influenced the shapes a lot, and this concept b by @luminuance
