🌺Introducing the Femme Frequency Poets

🌺J. Rowe - @rowe.writes
Jeanette Rowe (J.Rowe) is a writer, spoken word poet, educator, and social activist. She believes writing is one of the best ways to learn, teach and heal. Jeanette’s poems address issues of social justice, love/self-love and empowerment. She hopes to provoke thought and encourage others to seek and speak their truth. She represented Sacramento at the National Poetry slam, the Women of the World Poetry Slam, The Illest Slam and the CA Democratic Convention (2018). She has also opened for Cornel West, Buddy Wakefield and Brandon Leake. Holding a Master’s degree in Education, in addition to other degrees, she also applies her accomplishments to her work as an educator, and has used her skills to mentor and conduct workshops geared towards art, cultural enrichment, and self-empowerment.

🌺Riah in the Sky - @riah.inthe.sky
I’m a queer, chicana spoken word poet from here in Sacramento.

Luna B - @luna.b_916
Luna will be performing in Mel’s place and hosting the Femme Frequency. Luna is a Sacramento based poet and writer.

Last minute change. Super bummed Mel will not be able to perform with us due to unexpected schedule conflict. Her voice and presence will be missed. ❤️🌺
