On our first stop of the tour we are conjuring gothic gloom and crushing psychedelic riffs that descend into darkness with our openers @motheaten.band and @filthwizard_nz

Motheaten floats within shoegaze, post-punk, and gothic atmospheres, building slowly to stretch tension into doom. With fresh songs informed by the four-piece’s other musical endeavors (Sogg, Vagina Dry, Dolly Possum), Motheaten collides to form something experimental and capturing.

Filth Wizard are an instrumental progressive metal trio from the deep south. Since their inception in 2018, Filth Wizard have been blending sounds ranging from trippy 70s psychedelic rock, to thrash, to crushingly heavy doom metal sprinkled with a bit funk, and even as far as a wee bit of death metal. The band’s riff worship compositions entice and excite at every turn, and the trio’s natural, magnetic energy on stage makes them a band not to be missed.

I’m not rotten, just fermenting
And I don’t want it if it ain’t transformation

come and lay flowers on the graves of your old selves, come and make room for new stories to be born. surrender to the lessons, the achings, the helplessness, and let it pave a way home to yourself again.

The Metanoia Album Tour 🌀 this spring across Aotearoa.
