I have wayy more mangas that i want to read from him because that man is STILL writing and we love that honestly, because no mangaka has ever made my skin crawl quite like he has. very well deserved title of the king of the horror manga genre truly. 😋

my bookish palette 🎨
heres my take on the cutest lil tag and i honestly need any reason just to show off some of the books that hold a very special place in my heart (i had to add some 3 star books in here too just to match the covers to the paint 😔)
but overall i thoroughly enjoyed every single one of these books!!

Books i want to read before january ends🎀
.
i started off the month strong with reading 3 books in the first week but then i just kind of fell off and i need to get back on track (as storygraph keeps reminding me) that im falling behind on my yearly goal (alreadyy 😭) so here’s a lil attempt to save the monthly wrap up by having a lil readathon and hopefully (🤞🏽) finishing these books up before february starts!!
.
Books listed:
1. the myth of sisyphus
2. letter to a young poet
3. the vanishing star
4. city of ashes
5. the metamorphosis

saw the cutest trend going around and i knew i had to hop on the bandwagon🤍
(added an honorary mention at the end hehe)
this was soo hard honestly just narrowing down 10 of my obsessions (+ 1 HM) when im a girl who LOVES to obsess over the smallest things and make them a part of my personality, i could honestly make 50 of these slides and my obsessions would still not end😭
but here’s this post as a lil keepsake for future me 🤭💌

Keeping my yearly TBR short and sweet with a couple of big books sprinkled in there to make it a bit challenging as well. 💌

This year’s theme is to delve more into introspective works that make the gears turn in my mind and prompts me to actually think and understand the words that im consuming, as can be seen by the variety of classic literature on this year’s TBR. 📜🕯️

Classics:
⟡ The Count of Monte Cristo
⟡ The Divine Comedy
⟡ Crime and Punishment
⟡ The Bell Jar
⟡ Giovanni’s Room

Academia:
⟡ The Secret History
⟡ Katabasis
⟡ The Marriage Portrait
⟡ Babel

Literary Fiction:
⟡ This is how you lose the time war
⟡ Never let me go
⟡ As long as the lemon trees grow
⟡ No longer human
⟡ The handmaid’s tale

What are the books on your yearly tbr?🍂

Starting the year the only way I know how: surrounded by fantasy, manga, and stories that make me feel whole again. Here’s my January TBR.
let’s see how many I actually get through. 🌙📖

witch hat atelier ♡
on the recommendation of @katieiisreading started reading this series on a whim because it was described as a middle grade fantasy that doesnt take as much brain power to read as normal fantasy books do. i was sooo excited to pick this series up and my god the VISUALS😔✋🏽 were just so top tier that honestly i could spend hours just staring at the panels themselves.
talking abt the plot now, i feel like the pacing is going just right and we are already starting to see character development and growth and even better relationships forming between the characters which i absolutely adore because the girl ‘coco’ we are following throughout the series is so freaking wholesome and her interactions with everyone around her makes me just want to hug her so hard ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆
ive only read till volume 6 and there are 13 in total and a spin off series as well *featuring my fav character so defo will be reading that too*
all in all this series is vvv wholesome and adorable and still dark at times when it needs to be a perfect balance ⋆˚࿔
